Married Couple Traveling Together in Separate Vans

Ram premaster 21-28 RV 8-12mpg It appears it may be cheaper on gas to have 2 Vans over 1 RV.

What do you do with your dog when you have to go shopping for food?

If you have a well behaved dog just register it as a service dog so you can take it anywhere. I have a remote start for my car so I can run the AC and monitor inside temp if I have animals in the car. Which I don't. :censored:

    Reaction score?

It also limited how many "reputation" scores you could give per day or something.

    Reaction score?

Ideally the "like" button should be used for helpful/useful posts but its used for just about anything now with the addition of emojis. I prefer it being just a "like" button to help weed through many posts to find the more agreed upon comments. Still works this way but with the addition of...

Its tied to the likes (emojis) you receive.

Married Couple Traveling Together in Separate Vans

Love the idea of 2 vans rather than one big RV. So much more flexibility of places to go and you wont disturb your partner with any snoring or late night bathroom visits.

A place for humorous vandwelling-related pictures

I really hope this is not the tow vehicle for that trailer... I think it was brand new with no load.

monitoring the temperature in my minivan

Make the investment in a remote start/Alarm with full monitoring. I have a Compustar t13 that monitors all kinds of stuff including instantaneous temperature monitoring via app and via fob. Best part is you don't need cell service to see the temp or any of the monitoring it does since the fob...

Can Police Search Your RV Without a Warrant?

The talk of spray to hide smells reminds me of this scene from the movie Mule:

Can Police Search Your RV Without a Warrant?

I believe this is in all states, but as we know cops can make up a ton of stuff to keep you longer. This is where knowing why they pulled you over initially is important and should be the focus. I have been pulled over with plate covers but they tried to engage about my window tint so i had to...

Car camping options in the NE?

Trying to stay around the NY/NJ area is tough since its so over populated and have almost no good free camping. You only have upstate NY where it gets way cold, PA which isn't much better and NJ/DE/MD is just terrible. Going to the NE part of WV may be your best bet since there is a ton of park...

Car camping options in the NE?

The first time I asked if i could sleep in my car when I was in MD. They said I would go to jail if I was caught sleeping in my car. So i put up my tent and never went back to MD again.

    going nuts

Crazy tough. We had a fleet of them with 411 gears, really could roast some tires. We beat them bad and they kept going and going. I think they had the V6 that was a chopped V8?

    Music for traveling

With your top 40 taste you may be able to download all the top 40 songs from the 90's through today and fit it on a USB stick.

    Music for traveling

I love all music so i have to have multiple sources of music. I use mostly XM and Slacker radio (now liveXlive) since XM works anywhere and with Slacker i can download songs to listen off line. I also have a USB stick with a bunch of music i downloaded from my old CD's through iTunes. I recently...

Needful Things (Stealing a title from Stephen King)

I have so many gadgets. lol But 2 i always carry is my Leatherman Charge multi tool that covers just about any need. But the most used is my teeney Swiss Army Classic SD. I use it every single day for something.

So I may have overdone it with the canned goods, but ...

I usually try to have enough food on hand for a month, plus food to get me up north (MRE, Mountain house). Then I would rely on hunting, snares and other learned skills because I don't want to be hunkering down in a populated area where people may take your horded stuff. I also like to have a...

    Using Portable AC units

I have seen it, usually in an RV type vehicle since they take up a good amount of space.

    Toyota Tacozilla

Apparently it has a duel battery set up. So running the vehicle will recharge them. Many in the off road community prefer solar panels that can be placed where the sun is rather than just mounted on the roof. Though some have mounted them to the hood. lol Yeah, you have to crawl. It appears...

    Toyota Tacozilla

What makes in impractical? Seating is not just seating but also a lot of storage. Appears to be similar to a small van but is a 4x4 with a shower, sink and stove. Table is removable. Definitely expensive i am sure compared to a custom Van. I basically use my 4Runner for my off road adventures...
