    Spare Tire Replacement

Ideally you want the spare to be of at least the same size, but also same brand/type. This way you can rotate it in to the cycle of tire replacement/rotations so this does not happen and you get more life out of all tires. Spare tires can look pretty bad when mounted under the vehicle. Maybe...

    How do I find a van ?

Very big difference between Russia and America and what the people expect/want. You gave requirements that simply don't match up well (4 cylinder, 4x4, Van). Even in the Video you liked there was only an old VW. Vans are designed to carry weight so they need some power, 4x4 are heavy...

    How do I find a van ?

You would need to build one from scratch. Or with no 4x4 https://www.nissanusa.com/vehicles/discontinued/nv200-compact-cargo.html You should really have at least a 6 calendar if you want 4x4 in a van. Van is designed to carry weight and a 4x4 is also a heaver vehicle. Likely ill be going with...

    Romance Scams

I was under the impression romance was inherently a scam anyway.

    best minimalist sleeping pad?

I wouldn't say it truly self inflates, but it will fill with the majority of air over time, then you just need to fill it the rest of the way to your liking. The big thing is the ThermaRest BaseCamp is thick, long and wide with a great R value but can roll down to the size of a yoga mat.

Selling an RV; a "heads-up" tale

I refused to use PayPal from day 1. Why do I need PayPal when i have a CC and if a business doesn't take cash or CC then i am not joining PayPal to do business with you. That's a scary incident there. You got lucky, so many people get screwed using PayPal. On a side note i have used Zelle/Gpay...

    Eastern America Nomad Network

That's good to hear that the Admin/Mod's are enhancing the forum. Hopefully they do more improvements like private sections actually being private. I am/was worried the form would be used for $$$ generation only and never be improved. I think the East coast has been largely ignored in Van life...

Want to Buy High Top Van ASAP

I see an over abundance of class B&C RV/vans in the next year or two. A lot of people purchased during the pandemic and I am willing to bet many purchased without thinking long term and will be selling them plus this will limit the number of new buyers so more new deals will be available. And...

Would you be comfortable overnighting on a road like this?

Well looks like you can definitely stay there. But doesn't look like you should. Nice that its near work, but I would look for somewhere else.

Want to Buy High Top Van ASAP

Just visited a used dealer near me in CT and they have 1 or 2 high tops. This one is low mileage and $69,000.00: https://www.performanceon7.com/2019-Ford-Transit-Van-Wilton-CT-Westport-Norwalk-Darien-Fairfield/used_car/M0p4eqojArY%3d Probably not the best time to find a deal on vans and RV's.

    Price of RV is Crazy!!!

I looked at a couple of Winnebago Travatos the other day and prices are still too high. Give it another year or so and all kinds of deals will be had. Just better like Dodge because there will be a ton of those.

Stop deleting peoples posts and just lock the thread. Its already been stated "The original post was to inform members about the program" clearly no discussion is allowed passed that. Just lock it, its old anyway.

    Driving in Mountains and Hills

Depends on the Vehicle I am driving. My truck has no issues with that kind of elevation since it drops a gear when going down grades like that. But if i was towing I ideally want the tow vehicle to have its own breaks. If not its a race to the top, and a game of how slow can I go down hill...

    Pet Hostel/Pet apartments?

Now with the OP posts restored i get what he was suggesting. I too would love a Dog, but with my 9 hour days and traveling I simply cant allow my self. However with an affordable way to kennel a pet in a humane way with easy access this could change things. Really not a bad idea if we consider...

    tin storage bins

Yeah, its hard to not consider plastic. I like your Tin use idea, you can make them your self easily or even have a tin knocker do it for you. But i will say this, you can 3D print in plastic/Carbon fiber in any shape you want. U, V whatever and exactly a perfect fit that will 100% save more...

    Pet Hostel/Pet apartments?

Mods can bring back OP posts. They are not truly gone, a time to edit is unnecessary. Looks like the frenzy of posts were all done within the edit time frame.

Which Vehicle to Choose for Forest Road Boondocking?

Yeah, a Honda Odyssey is not the vehicle for forest service roads or off-roading. You could cut the fenders and put some big tiers on it but it doesn't have the 4 wheel drive you will need. I have a 4Runner which i use for this and off-roading and its perfect. Extremely reliable, capable and...
