    Bucket lists

That’s a great list, vanbrat, and I would find a couple of those rather compelling, myself. I want to take the train across Canada (scheduled) Visit Ireland in the Springtime. Maggie

Not in the winter months. ☺️

Where to spend winters and summers

Think about wintering to include Louisiana, and maybe also consider the southeast, as in the Florida Panhandle, Georgia and South Carolina. Temps are usually mild, tho can have cold snaps, and lots of inexpensive public campgrounds in there, but for the coastal areas which are very expensive...

    New RV Nomad

Congratulations on your new adventures, and yes to a Plan B. Always have water, propane and a charged battery, in case you can’t find a campground. As you work your way up the east coast, be sure to explore coastal Georgia and South Carolina. Safe travels.

How much water do you use for showers?- survey

If not washing my hair, a 2 liter bottle of water heated in the sun is a very adequate shower. With or without the Simple Shower attachment. I use the disposable facial cloths that have face wash in them…wet a little, wash my face, add some body wash for the rest of me, rinse with the bottle...

Front windshield Sunshade, RETRACTABLE!?! DOES THIS WORK!?

Keep It Simple, Sweetie, is my suggestion. The quilted aluminum reflectix, cut to fit and put on the inside, works great. No mechanicals to fail or wear out, just your own two hands.

Vehicle For Sale 2007 Airstream Interstate for sale $45,000

Thanks for asking, and I intend to continue to travel, just in a less labor intensive way. I am 75 and have some health issues requiring more attention, the dog will be 15. I decided it was time to sell the rv while it was a decision I can make. And getting it emptied and cleaned to my...

Vehicle For Sale 2007 Airstream Interstate for sale $45,000

And, I finalized a sale yesterday to a young(er) couple from southwest Virginia, who are just beginning their retirement travels. They had a 5th wheel years ago, want a BVan that would go and be able to park almost anywhere. They had been looking for almost a year, found this rig on RV Trader...

    Life At Kamp Koon………

Very cool find, John. And I envy you your new and improved diet. I gave up breakfast a couple of years ago, and lost 20lbs over the course of a year or so. I try not to eat before 10am, then my first meal may be breakfast, lunch, brunch or dinner, depending on how I feel on any given day...

Vehicle For Sale 2007 Airstream Interstate for sale $45,000

“2007 Airstream Interstate on 2006 T1N Dodge Sprinter chassis” First sentence of the ad. :) The last year of the really good diesel engines, mine has been very well cared for, runs like a top and has just gotten its sealegs at 128,000 miles. 18 mpg on the highway, 24-25 mpg poking around the...

Vehicle For Sale 2007 Airstream Interstate for sale $45,000

It’s in the thread title. ☺️ Dropped the price from $48,000 to $45,000, as I want to sell it. Not desperate, but not good for it to sit and I won’t travel in it again.

    Medicare and medical billing

Your local Senior Center can also be a good resource for help with all sorts of things, from financial resources to managing your new phone.

    Medicare and medical billing

It is a sad situation when we have to be wary of our medical providers tricking us into signing things that then make us responsible for large fees. And it is not uncommon to be asked to sign something electronically, like on a pad, when you can’t see what you are signing.

    Medicare and medical billing

Yes, be very careful with this. My PCP told me last fall that I was due for a dpt booster, which the nurse gave. I then got a bill for nearly $400 that insurance initially refused to pay. They eventually did pay it all, but said if I had signed something saying I would be responsible for...

    What are you reading?

I am on Book 4 of the Penn Cage novels, and tho very good this one and the last are rather grim. Book 3 involved taking down a dog fighting ring, and some of those pages I had to flip thru. Book 4 has to do with Natchez, the Klan, civil rights issues in that area during the 1960’s, etc., and...

    Camping Rules and Regulations

You can feel “forced” if you feel you you have no other choice. One can say “there are always other choices”, but that is a matter of perception. If I remember correctly, Bob moved into his van when he separated/divorced, and couldn’t afford traditional housing for himself. And what a leader...
