    Bought a shuttle bus!

I am about to start looking for insurance. I had a local shop pick it up from the seller. I'm having the fluids changed, hoses belts and brakes checked. The air blows good and strong and cool but not cold so I'm having that addressed as well. I'll have it insured when I go to pick it up...

    Bought a shuttle bus!

Yes quite a bit and you are correct but look at how far the body of the bus protrudes beyond the back tires. This isn't a vehicle for going through washes anyhow. While I love the really remote back country it's no longer a good choice for me because of my health issues. I am considering...

    Bought a shuttle bus!

I am so excited! I've been looking at options trying to find what would work best for me. The conclusion I came to was a shuttle bus with a working handicap lift......and I really wanted a diesel.....with the seats already removed of course. I gave up looking about a week ago. Most...

    Hey All

I'm mostly seeing discussions about land in Arizona. Any reason New Mexico isn't as good of an option! Should be similar climate at similar elevation.

    Baja California Next Winter

    Baja California Next Winter

Hopefully I just joined the correct Facebook group. I speak Spanish and have lived in Mexico on and off for years. I'm a permanent resident. Keep my passport up to date. On the group I joined it says a vehicle 25ft or shorter. I'm going to go look at a 30 ft skoolie tomorrow. Is that an...

    Rocket stove and thermos cooking

I've been a bit surprised that I don't see much discussion about rocket stoves and thermos cooking. The 2 go together really well. In the morning I use my rocket stove to heat water for coffee, cook breakfast and then bring to a boil anything I'm going to cook in a thermos for the day. Rocket...

    Hey All

Well since everyone involved would have their own land...... I'm sure they wouldn't want the word put out about their place. That's why you would need your own property to be part of the group and why you would add members carefully.

    Hey All

Wow ... y'all took that idea and run with it. I in no way meant as a permanent commune thing. More like the same rules as BLM.....move frequently so people don't mess it up. Just land. I've had bad experience with squatters. I wouldn't have any improvements on the property. Maybe an...

    Best easiest meal

You can get dehydrated hash browns! They are amazingly good. Just let soak to rehydrate, drain and cook as usual. Almond butter, honey and cinnamon to dip apple slices in. Get an instant pot! I love mine so much!!! Butter noodles. Boil egg noodles, add butter and salt to taste. Fried rice...

    Hey All

If enough of us buy a few acres we could form a club and travel from private property to private property full time 😉

    Greetings All

I am finding box trucks to be very affordable and of course they are pretty spacious. I get what you mean. I received a kidney transplant 2 years ago and the Drs have nearly killed me. I'm less and less able to do anything but lay in bed. This is NOT me!!! 3 years ago I was single handing my...

    Disposing of solid waste

There's several different ways. Some use a humanure bucket where you cover your waste with sawdust or peat moss. It does an amazingly good job at controlling odors. I use kitty litter and frequent changes. Separate urine. It's when the 2 are mixed that it's awful.

    Box truck clearance

I like big trucks! I'm working on which vehicle I want to buy and a box truck with a lift gate seems to offer the best option to take my toys (atv and power scooter) with me and have room to set up my sewing studio. I'm looking at the bigger diesels and in my area the ones with lift gates are...
