    Roll around kitchen

This is where the palm trees come in. I drive south until the only concern I have is falling coconuts 😁🌴🌴🌴🌴😎

    Roll around kitchen

You found a decent sized Japanese fry pot! Just wish it was less expensive 😳. I added it to my wish list to think about. I like the stainless steel pot with the basket too but it looks like I'd have to hold it over the pot to let it drip. My muscles cramp and lock up quickly so I don't think...

    Roll around kitchen

Screen locked up and wouldn't let me finish. I do agree about the screening being better on a pop up tent. Danged flies are vicious at times. I'm not actually installing any plumbing so no need for quick connects. I plan to have a propane bottle on the bottom rack of the cart. I don't need...

    Roll around kitchen

I have considered putting an awning on but I am unable to do it myself. I'm fed up with trying to hire help. Also I tend to stay in the desert and sudden winds and dust devils love destroying them. If the wind destroys a pop up tent.....at least it didn't rip holes in the side of my vehicle...

The discrimination of the van Life community in America

Beekeepers have clubs. Mostly so we have others to argue with 🤣

    Roll around kitchen

I can stand up and walk for a couple of minutes. I just have to sit down and rest a while then I can do a bit more. I plan to have the kitchen area right next to the vehicle so not like I'm moving the cart very far. I get that a pop up tent takes effort to put up and take down. I am looking...

At one point I didn't mind funding schools. Seeing what public schools are churning out now.......I am getting ripped off.

Yep.... it's that whole don't want to be woke up and have to put on clothes thing.

The discrimination of the van Life community in America

I have a suspicion. I have asked and don't get an answer. When I lived near the border and crossed all the time my ex was usually with me. My ex is the Grand Poobah of A Holishness! He had a mule deer run over him (if you know, you know) and took the truck to Mexico to be fixed. Got the...

    Roll around kitchen

I have a shuttle bus with a working handicap lift (big reason I bought it). I had one of those 💡 epiphanies! Instead of taking up permanent space in the bus....why not put the kitchen on wheels and roll it in and out with assistance of the lift! I snowbird so follow nice weather I have a...

I've discovered a unique way to keep my van considerably COOLER.

Wouldn't it be simpler and a lot cheaper to make a blank for a window, make a hole to accept an accordion tube, run the accordion tube under your van but propped up so it isn't sucking dirt and put a fan(pointing at you) in front of the tube? No drilling through the floor. Remove the blank and...

Keeping solar panels inside of Van

That's what I normally do. Park in the shade and put solar panels out on long leads. Just prop them up facing the sun. Lay flat and put weights on oposite corners in windy conditions. Adjust a few times a day. Load them up when I change camps. It makes so much more sense to park my living...

The discrimination of the van Life community in America

LOL I should have been more specific. I get waved through the interior checkpoints too..... even when driving my truck with Sinaloa plates! All I have to do is open my mouth with this deep Texas drawl and they know I'm from here! I did have one once that kept insisting on speaking Spanish to...

    cooking simple food in car

Look up cooking truckers! It seems to be a trend and there are Facebook groups and YouTube videos.

Never been to one. Don't know what it is. I pretty much just do me and not really into gatherings. Unless it involves bees 😂 I am totally up for anything bee related at any time. Been a beekeeper for over 30 years. Before covid I was paid to travel and speak at bee clubs.

    Bought a shuttle bus!

Technically yes. On paper no. I don't have an interest in hiring out so I don't do the paperwork. I definitely have enough hours. Bit of a backstory. I was retired in Mexico full time about a block from the beach. You can still smell the ocean and hear the surf but the house cost $100,000...

    Bought a shuttle bus!

I do. I used to be a truck driver. Grew up on a cattle ranch. I'm a sea captain(my picture was taken on my last ⛵) and have crossed the country several times on a motorcycle. I enjoy operating heavy equipment and have a backhoe on hand the way most folks have a lawnmower 😉 I'm not a...

The discrimination of the van Life community in America

Some of it is warranted and a lot of it is going to be based on location. Several cities have shockingly awful conditions caused by homeless that are usually drug addicts or very mentally ill people. Nobody wants that sort of thing in their town. It should simply be a matter of showing that...

    Traveling hobo

Lot's of Texans have wandering feet. Just about everywhere I go I run into fellow Texans. Even in foreign countries.
