We've gone both ways several times, though it's been 6 years since we were there. Far more Americans, campgrounds, etc, on the west coast. but the wonderful warmth and hospitality of the Mexican people we found everywhere!

Definitely go for a laptop rather than a desk top and monitor! It will take up WAY less space, be much more likely to survive the bounces of travel, and you'll be able to go into a coffee shop or library with it... I know this isn't what you asked but it's also going use way less power than a...

Certainly could happen. OTOH, there's a good chance they'd have to give people holding the plans the option to drop Verizon w/o paying the termination fees.

Ah, just posted a new thread about how I'm doing this. Didn't see yours! Yesterday when I bought the plan, I only saw more expensive ones on ebay. Anyone who does this, be sure you get a 4g plan.

We're in the process of getting an unlimited data plan (UDP) from Verizon. It's a bit complicated but it's going to cost us less than the other options, it seems. It involves taking over a UDP from someone else who has one. I was about to sign us up for Millenicom when it stopped offering plans...

I love reflectix for any rig. We just finished making reflectix panels for every window in our rv. The most important one is probably the windshield one! Also have curtains.
