She's so smart

Thanks for sharing your stories. I know there are lots more pet people out there with great adventures.

Ha ha Noah! The earrings were a gift a few Christmases ago. I wear them every week, which shocks some people who think I should only wear them on special occasions or...

    She's so smart

I was taking out my diamond earrings and dropped one on the RV floor. My little dog ran over and showed me where it had landed. She's so smart! OK, she probably thought I had dropped some food, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt on this one. What have your smart dogs (or cats or...

I quit the job I hated and I'm moving into a van

Hi and welcome! I know so little about what to look for in a van, so I'm going to let the experts answer your questions. I just wanted to welcome you and let you know I'm glad that you had the courage to quit a job that was causing you so much stress and anxiety. I hope your plans work...

    My van conversion video

I love how you have the self-confidence to be honest and admit you are a complete novice. I, too, know next to nothing about the mechanics of a vehicle. I hope some mechanically talented folks reply and I'm looking forward to more videos from you!

8 food we eat in the US that is banned in other countries

Wow. Some of them I know about and try to avoid, but some of them I have never even heard of! Makes me really want to take a closer look at what I spend my money on to eat...

    Cheepest bulk prices?

I just split the cost of a Sam's Club membership with another frugal RVer, so it cost us each $20 for the year. We plan to go together quarterly to stock up. On my first trip, I saved at least $9, which is almost half my cost. For me, I think I will save money. If you want to come shop in...

Wow. That's weird. Glad you are OK.

    Hoarding issues

I recently decided to live by the "one in, one out" rule. If I bring something new into my home, I have to get rid of something (trash, donate to charity or sell). That is helping me keep stuff under control. However, I still have years of clutter to go through before I'll even fit it in a...

    Hello from Heart of Carrot

Hello and welcome. This summer, I am living in an RV Park in a Class C, so my chihuahua and I are getting a taste of fulltime RVing without the travel. There is so much good information and great resource people on this forum. Sounds like you have lots of outdoor hobbies to keep you busy--enjoy!

    Hello everyone- newbe here

Hi KarenS and welcome! I live in Ohio and my chihuahua is my baby. What kind of dogs do you have? I'm guessing they love camping, too. I'm sure you'll find lots of good information here--I certainly have.

Dirty Cloths, where do you put them?

I use exactly what McBe (reply #2) has. It folds down flat when not needed and is flexible enough to be buried under other stuff or wedged into awkward spaces. It was only a few bucks at the dollar store.

    Finally took the plunge...

Where do you keep your tax records?

I've been audited twice. Since I have an accountant do my taxes, I called his office and they handled everything. I still keep copies of it all, but now I'm thinking I may not if the accountant has records. Thanks for bringing this up!

    newb question

We learned about water damage or leaks in an RV the hard way. Be very cautious because even if the seller says the leaks have been fixed, there is very likely damage done that you can't see. Any mention or signs of leaks or water damage is a deal breaker for us. Good luck in your search and...

How do you wash your traveling companion?

Although some are not cheap, there are "u-bathe-them" dog washes at Pet People stores or I've even seen some car wash /dog wash combos! I bought some waterless dog shampoo in a spray bottle, but have not used it yet. The moist doggie wipes were so-so. I agree with good daily brushings.

    MOTORHOME FAILURE!!!

What a terrible experience. But what's more amazing to me is your positive attitude and persistence. Where there's a will, there's a way --you prove that! Take care!

    hi all

We're glad you're here. I am living in a Class C motorhome this summer, but will not be free to travel until my youngest graduates from college (he thinks that is in two years, but I think three years is more realistic!) So far I am super happy to be out of the sticks-n-bricks and am cozy in...

    New and looking to learn!!

Hello and welcome! I, too, am an empty nester Mom whose children are supportive of my desire to travel and live a little unconventionally. Due to a job transfer, I am staying in an RV Park in an older Class C motorhome. So far I have been here for three weeks and am very happy. Serious...
