How to approach a solo woman

Whip out your phone. Make it obvious. Take photos. Send them to someone you trust. Call them when the situation ends to let them know you are all right.

How to approach a solo woman

ssminnow You don't approach solo women. But if you think you really, really have to because ... Don't. Really. DON'T. Let her approach you. By the time she approaches you she has already decided how dangerous you are.

Van being stored for three months. What to do with batteries.

I have two 12 volt flooded marine batteries for my solar power.  They are connected to a 30-amp pwm solar charge controller model VS3024BN. I plan on disconnecting them and possibly leaving them in van.  I will not be leaving them hooked up to my two 100-watt solar panels because the panels...

What type of outdoor rug do you have?

I use a regular small doormat from wm. However, when laid outside in New Bern, North Carolina and it rained the mat turned into a skateboard.

Mounted solar panel or portable, pro's and con's

Since I don't have space on the top of the van I opted to carry two 100 watt solar panels indoors and put them out when I need to. Hadn't planned on how much they weigh. 27 lbs each. They are big and bulky and require a bit of finagling to get them in and out of the van.

    Does snoring blow stealth?

Some old cpaps blow air in even when the wearer is breathing out. Spouse got a new cpap which somehow knows when she breathes out and quits or reduces pumping at that time. her lungs are in much better shape now. Plus it is much quieter and is smaller.

    Good morning

Morning Dean. 41 and windy here in the Basin in southern New Mexico. Mountains are below freezing and over the next couple of days will get into single digits.

    Getting rid of dog

Dingfelder you beat me to it. Firtree made a logical recommendation designed to protect people who interact with the dog in the future. As someone who has been bitten by a dog for no apparent reason, I appreciate what he said. And as far as I'm concerned, all dog bites are serious.

    Compact Digital Multimeter

I carry one and even bought additional tips so I can test without needing a second pair of hands for those awkward places.

    Good morning

Howdy Dean. In southern New Mexico we went from summer to winter in a day. Having unusual rains. Not a good time to be in the mountains if you need solar.

Storage box for swing away cargo carrier

I've got an old packer which I hope fits the carrier I've ordered. Since HR says it's dusty I'll put in stuff that doesn't mind.

Does anyone have a med-large dog in your Van?

An 80 pound mix in a 17 foot van is very tough even if I don't full time. I'm sure that first rainy or too cold day will be quite the experience. I've ordered a hitch cargo carrier to put some of the stuff outside. Building cabinets specific for what I'm carrying to get stuff off the floor. I...

    Good morning

Before my brother in law had his pacemaker installed he didn't feel good at all. His symptoms had come on so slowly that he thought it was old age. Afterwards he had a lot more energy and generally felt better. Without the pace maker he'd probably have been dead years ago.
