How to use less internet bandwidth?

When I have to draft long responses in emails I type it in a word processing program. Then later I copy and paste into the email. Saves all that time of sitting on the internet while not really needing the internet.

    Good morning

Working on an rv certainly means a lot of up and downs and leaning so just think how good it will be to lube your joints.

    Good morning

Good morning Dean. Chilly and cloudy in southern New Mexico. Just saw a satellite photo of the state. During this darn big blow a portion of White Sands took to the sky and left a trail all the way to Oklahoma. You state is in line to get some too.

    Voice activated gps

I'm working from memory right now... so my comment need confirmation from someone else... Google map offline downloads expire and must be re-downloaded. It's either 15 days or 28 days.

    Good morning

Morning Dean. Warm and overcast in southern New Mexico. Waiting for two days of winds to start. Looking like we are through with below freezing temperatures. Just in time for the two weeks of spring breakers.

    **** approved Shrimp Scampi

That sounds really good. I'm a fan of the wood-grilled shrimp tacos at Red Lobster. I make the recipe at home and if I don't use the taco shells it's also a **** food.

    Good morning

Morning Dean. I think we had our last freeze of the season for southern New Mexico. Yippee. Been a longer winter than normal.

2 liter stove top pressure cooker

I made some jasmine rice just the other day on a house stove. 18 minutes to cook. So a pressure cooker sounds like a real gem.

Unconventional (or conventional) tips and tricks to stay warmer

I'm in a S&B. I throw back the covers so the warm air hits the area where I will be sleeping. I also use a heating pad to warm where my feet will be.

The job of camp host should not be only about a place to park your RV for free

I've volunteered at two national wildlife refuges. Not only was it not our job to confront rule breakers, we would have lost our volunteer opportunity if we had done so. All we were allowed to do was call the federal LEO who was watching over way too many acres. Are some of the camp hosts...

Finding fresh or frozen fish on the road?

Keep your eyes open for fish markets if you are meandering along the coasts.

To Pet, or Not to Pet? Pros and Cons, please!

^Stargazer. I also have a dog which is aging at a time I'm not in great shape myself. Always afraid I'll hurt myself lifting her up. My next dog will be in the 20 pound range.

How much would genuine A/C whenever you wanted it, improve your standard of living?

We hang out in NM parks with electric hookups for medical reasons. Mighty nice to have the 5th wheel AC especially since we are in our 60s. Also electric heaters in colder weather. It let's us extend our camping trips when fewer people are out.

How to approach a solo woman

Mansplaining was used back in 2010 so its not like it's new. It means to comment on or explain something to a woman in a condescending, overconfident, and often inaccurate or oversimplified manner.  Sometimes that's what's happening on this forum.   "Sexist man-hating females with chips on...

    Good morning

Hey Dean. I feel for ya. We skirt freezing every night in SE NM. I'm already looking forward to spring. Just keep repeating, It will warm soon. It will warm soon. Eventually it will come true.

How to approach a solo woman

Really?  When the man approached me while I was in my van, miles from anyone else, indeed I did palm my revolver and cock it .  Fortunately for him, he did not reach into my van.  Afterwards I shook like a cold puppy.  It's been six months, and I haven't gone back to that location.  The fear did...

How to approach a solo woman

I see RoamerRV428's second post yesterday was deleted. I knew it would be because she used “idiot” several times. She was quite passionate. I made a screen shot of her post (actually it took two since it was long) because what she said was important to me and I knew the post would disappear...

FREE Shock Collar Portraits at RTR (Tues 1/15 & Wed 1/16)

I worked on the family hog farm. I've been shocked by electric fences too many times to think about doing this even with it being less zappy.
