Rodent repeller gizmos....has anyone tried these?

Make sure whatever you use the noise does not travel to other sites.

    Welcome to New Mexico

In the middle of nowhere, it's cheap because there is no infrastructure or support. No livable dwelling. No water. No sewer. No electricity. No decent roads. Etc. There's a high probability it's cheap because someone bought it before you and they are selling it because they couldn't make...

Anyone ever get a shoulder injury getting in and out of van? (especially women?)

In my van I carry a two step stepladder with a hand rail which I bought at Home Depot. Sturdier and steadier than the plastic folded one and lighter than the big steel step we carried in the RV. Probably too big to yank it up with a string.

Lincoln National Forest in New Mexico is closing to the public

Due to fire danger, Lincoln National Forest in southern New Mexico will close to the public on May 25, 2022 at 8 a.m. The only national forest still open in NM is the Gila which is under stage 3 fire restrictions. The Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation, which I don't think you can camp...

Nah.  I cobbled a hodge podge of what I had in my shed.  Still thinking of that perfect mix though.

    Wood to Foamie

A great thing about using foam is if you find out it isn't strong enough for your needs yet you like the design, you can use the foam pieces as patterns.

    Covid vaccines

Vaccination #2 completed this morning. Been grinning since. Very slight body aches. Comes at a great time. New Mexico was slowly dropping to daily positives around 150s. Suddenly the last two days up around 300.

    here we go again

I would consider upper side or floor to ceiling cabinets secured to the walls and incorporate ceiling framing support in them.

    Covid vaccine.

Spouse and I recently passed our one year anniversary of Stay-at-Home. She is less than two weeks from her second vaccination. She had no symptoms from the first. I got my first Moderna vaccination on Thursday. Experienced about eight hours of substantial aches lessened by applying heat on...

    Any vanlifers on oxygen?

Depends on what amount of oxygen you need, how often you need it, and what your insurance is willing to pay for. Some people will not be able to use the smaller backpack styles. My spouse had a wheeled, battery powered concentrator and a 120v monster that weighs a ton and is the size of a...

Do you like the size of frig/freezer you slected.

My only experience is a 5th wheel refrigerator.  I'm sure it's not as efficient as these super insulated 12v chest fridges and freezers.  I've never had one but believe it doesn't put out much because I don't recall seeing any complaints about it.  Add two more and is it noticeable?  Is it...

    women's forum, baby steps

Well after googling cutting down a bed mattress I see it can be done. Just have never heard of anyone doing it. I'd be lazy and get a couple of types of foam.
