    My Path to (No)Madness!

First day of good weather in a while ... made a lot of headway! Pod 2 is almost done. Solar roof racks are next. Batteries came today ... waiting on cables and lugs. After the solar goes up, it will be mostly interior work and a little fine finishing if time allows. If we get 99% functional...

    My Path to (No)Madness!

Did a quick Google search using the model number [RNG-100D], didn't find any specific mention other than "impact resistant."  But, I'm not going to worry about it.  Seems like Renogy has a good reputation.  If I have issues I'll call them.  Thanks, John!  :)

Well, it doesn't look like the description to me.  I'm with you, T2S, it looks like flexible panels put into an aluminum frame.  They're heavy like glass ... ??  They come with a 5 year warranty ... I can return them if they fail.

State Police stopped me for driving too SLOW!

...wondering if something happened elsewhere and you just fit a vague description ... and just needed some reason to take a closer look? "Um ... goin' a little slow there aren't you, pal?" ... "Say, is that a crack?" "Um, your break lights are red ... good ... these aren't the droids we're...

    Aluminum vs Copper Wire

Before ordering my power cables, I looked up some dimensional info ... thought I'd share.  Probably redundant on several levels, but it makes me feel like I am contributing!  :) Wire Gauge Diameters ... https://www.tedpella.com/company_html/wire-gauge-vs-dia.htm

Aye, repeatedly and recently.  ...and I haven't ruled canvas out for all the reasons you cite.  But, I feel like I've done a lot of insulation inside the trailer, and NOT insulating the pods just seems to render all that work moot.  ...and, my daughter feels more secure with hard walls...

    My Path to (No)Madness!

Answer posted above ... :) I'm still figuring things out as I go, but the plan now is, yes, they will have hard, insulated walls that stow for travel and bolt in place while camped. Again, a work in progress design wise, but both inside and outside access. Sorry .. I can't NOT answer .. I'm in...
