    Generator

Not a dumb question at all.  I've been wondering the same thing.  We finally decided on a generator, but I have MANY questions, that others will consider dumb.  Glad you asked I can only answer "yes" to the power outlets, as when running the break in period of our new generator, I plugged in my...

    RV Battery

What a fiasco!  Our first trip in 5th wheel & learning our camper. After 2 1/2 days of dry camping & very limited use, our battery died. Now won't hold a charge. Up on further inspection we noted it was a marine cranking battery (didn't check, trusted dealer) On our way to Walmart, hubby says...

For those that do take a firearm with you...

I used to be pretty good with a gun, until my boys got old enough to shoot, so I never really had the time or desire to shoot much, as it became a really good father son hobby I got my CCL about 5 years ago and now carry a Ruger LCR 22.  Usually carry in my purse.  Honestly I don't like...

What size generator do I need

thanks everone for your input.  This gives me a place to start, as I've said I don't know a whole lot, even though I've camped all my life.  Primitive camping was much easier, but now I'm going for comfort.  And my class C was fully self contained, so just fill the water tanks and I was good to...

I'm not the original poster, but I also live in the Midwest (SW Kansas).  Have been uncertain who to contact regarding solar for our RV.  I also have family in Columbia.   May I contact you in the future, when we are ready to add solar?

    Hello from Kansas

Thank-you.  He bought a 2006 Chevy 3500 Dually, diesel, getting 20-22 mpg now.  Bought it from a friend who pulled a 40' 5th wheel.   We just got home from making a deal on a 25' 5th wheel.  He promised it was small enough to get to the boondocking spots I prefer :-)  So guess we'll be selling...

    Hello from Kansas

He runs very well.  And was totally refinished when we bought him a couple years ago.  He's a 1983 Chevy Tioga.  My husband likes to work on older vehicles, so is very particular about keeping him in good mechanical condition.  We've several people wanting to buy him, but weren't ready to sell...

    Hello from Kansas

As a child, my family always camped, lakes and the Rocky Mountains.  We camped quite a bit as our children were growing up.  It's always been my dream to hit the road & see this beautiful country we live in. We've owned & camped in just about every type of arrangement from tent & most RV types...
