    Rear suspension...?

Brakes are definitely something I want. I was looking at brake controllers today...almost ordered a Prodigy 2. The bigger problem I'm seeing is that in the smaller trailer category (6x12) almost zero used and in-stock trailers have brakes. Most have the 2990lbs axle. That's why I think, if...

    Rear suspension...?

Ok, but considering the following do they seem like more of a necessity or a luxury: As before, I am just over 200Lbs. I just went out with a tape measure. Standing on the rear bumper...it dropped 7/8" So, If I am realistically looking at a max tongue weight of 385lbs. I think I'm good, but I...

    Rear suspension...?

Ok, so with airbags I don't have to buy a compressor, right? I can just set them up to fill and release air like I would with air shocks, correct?

    Cargo 6 x 12 or 14?

I agree, but I'm not looking to go wider than 6' for towing reasons. That's 5' 8" or 68". This full is 74", so it will need to go lengthwise. I'll change over to a Twin XL later on...or figure out some other bedding. Either way, I think it will be plenty. :D My main concern was if there were...

    Rear suspension...?

Well, it's already got a Reese Class lll on it. I was asking about the rest of it: Weight Distribution Hitch But this is what I am trying to sort out...whether I need things like airbags...or should need them. Ya'll know a lot more about all of this than I do, so I just hope that I can get...

    Rear suspension...?

It sits fine now, and seems stout. There doesn't seem to be any issue, but I'm not sure and trying to understand what to expect. How much does a weight distributing hitch help...and do I need 1? I think: Yes, but I really don't know. 2000 Astro LS AWD Vortec 4.3L Rear: 3.42 GVW: 4160 Payload...

    Doubling up on solar...?

That's what I'm doing. Originally, I was going to outfit the van, but I've realized that that really is not going to work for me...except in case of emergency. I could swing it to exit, head west and then settle and regroup...but, otherwise, it's not really practical for me. That's why I'm not...

    Rear suspension...?

Good info here, and I definitely appreciate ya'll helping me understand this. I don't mind modifying/upgrading/investing in this van where needed, but, of course, I'm trying to avoid that if practical. 1) So, generally speaking, if there's too much squat...then I can or should be able to shift...

What kind of vehicle do you have it in?

    Rear suspension...?

Yep, me again.  :P Same astro and 6x12' CT. I've been wondering about the rear suspension and towing the trailer. The leaf springs have 3 leafs, and the shocks are yellow, no labels that I can find, but stamped: Made in the USA P364H. I cannot seem to locate that part number on line, so I...

    Home router...

Cool. Very cool. That's why I'm asking. Trying to put the pieces together for myself. There's apparently another app also...called "Reflector" that does the same thing as "Lonely screen". Reflector is $13 to buy. Any negative impact on resolution going to larger screen sizes?

    Doubling up on solar...?

I own an astro van, but I don't own a cargo trailer...yet. I am tall, and the astro just really isn't going to work as a full time home, so the cargo trailer is going to be a necessity for me. I can fit ~300w of solar on top of the astro. Not sure what I can fit on top of a 6x12' cargo trailer...

    Regular full size matress...

I have a standard everyday full size mattress that I sleep on. I assume it's because of sizing, but is there a reason that -it seems- most people don't go the standard/regular mattress route? Sure, a full size is big, but it's paid for and in a cargo van...I could make it work...then downsize...

    Cargo 6 x 12 or 14?

Posted earlier, but I think it's being overlooked as a signature: A CT related question that I've had is: Yes, I understand the benefit of the triple-tube tongue, but most of them come with some type of extension...like " 60” Triple Tube Tongue". Is there any benefit or loss to the 60"...

    Home router...

Ahhhh, forgot about the repeater. Yes, it has a repeater mode, so the only way to find out it's actual usefullness will be to bring it along. Asus RT-AC68U Management UPnP, IGMP v1/v2/v3, DNS Proxy, DHCP, NTP Client, DDNS, Port Trigger, Universal Repeater, System Event Log Operation mode...

    Home router...

I have a good quality wireless home router. I'm just wondering if it will have any value once I am out on the road with a laptop and picking up wifi signals...? I would think not, but figured I would check with ya'll.

    Bank account

Just wondering how people that are on the road full time (no home base) deal with banking...? Right now, I am with a small bank in the east, yet will be headed west. What I'm talking about is debit card, atm, etc. Oftentimes, banks, credit cards, etc will get twitchy over "traveling" purchases...
