Automatic solar cooling with the mother of all fans

I have a similar set up. I have a 15 watt solar panel that is direct wired to 5 computer fans. Nothing fancy. No controller, no battery. 2 of the fans are behind the fridge and suck air out, helping to cool the fridge even when it is not powered up. 1 in in the battery compartment and sucks air...

    Solar power calculators

Yeah, most often that would be the case. But I live in Australia, and we get a lot more sunlight hours than most of the USA. So a 580 watt system, getting even the short 5 hours of sunlight on the worst winter's day, each 100w panel produces 5.25 wats of power. I'll ignore the 80 watt panel as a...

    Solar power calculators

Currently my van has 3 x 64 watt unisolar panels, and a 80watt panel. This is 272 watts of solar power. That was enough for the occasional camping trip, but for full time on board living it is a little low. I have a 12 volt fridge, and a laptop, tv, LED lights and so on.
I am thinking of...

    Where I am at

Well this week I had to drop out of uni because I just can not afford to go any more. The bus fare, extra costs of going were too much. I had to work to do some part time work. The problem with that is that because of my learning disability I got behind with my studies. I mean I put a LOT of...

My van was on the news this morning

Yeah, your van looks like any work van. Though the rack for the solar panel is a little high. Does it affect milage much with the extra drag?
