    Tell me what I need!

Instead of trying to jump the battery every so often, wouldn't it make more sense to start the engine for a few minutes once a week or so? Wouldn't the alternator bring it back to full charge? Sorry for all the questions, you guys are just so darn helpful!

    Charge controller with readout

For high end 60amp, I've been doing research on THIS ONE and it seems to be pretty good and easy to use. I'm torn between this one or Morningstar TriStar, but this one has better reviews.

    Tell me what I need!

Great info fellas! Should I worry about the engine using the house batteries though? If they are separated, shouldn't I maintain them individually? Also, so far, my amp draw is less than 20 amps. Even if I used my fridge on battery 24/7, my amp draw would still be under 25. I don't think I need...

You mean using the house battery as the starter battery? What might use 10kw for a minute?

Poll - How helpful is insulation?

Insulation defends against heat or cold, by keeping the interior temperature where it's at. Some heat or cold will still seep through, but it drastically improves your condition in hot or cold climates. That said, everyone should always insulate to the best of their abilities (or checkbook).

    Tell me what I need!

Thanks for the heads up! Will definitely look at this site. Assuming the setup I mentioned before, which cable would be best for this setup? I've looked through the different cables that they offer, and I'm not sure which gauge is required. But, I did find that it has a maximum amperage, but...

    Tell me what I need!

Okay, so I did extensive testing on my entire work setup. In 7 days (starting Friday morning last week, through Friday night this week) it reached 7Kw. That's only 1,000 watts a day (the WHOLE day) for an entire week, which is a lot less than I was guessing before. Since i will be lowering that...

    Legal Parking

BLM land, free campgrounds, wal-mart parking lots, Truck stops, freeway Rest stops, Camping World stops, and sometimes other 24/hour stores will allow it. Apparently Cracker Barrel's official policy is NO, but often times are reported to let people stay there.

Ad for parking spot on Craigslist

Get a written excerpt from whoever is leasing the spot, showing that they own the property and are leasing it to you, and have them sign it. Usually all police need is proof of permission.

North Dakota in the winter? Indoor RV park

Good grief even the outdoor spaces are 750! That's super high! Where I live, in Lubbock, TX, I will be parking my sassy @ss at $295 a month with full hookups and cheap electric. Of course, summer is unbearable sometimes, but with electric the AC stays running! I would be spending less than $350...

Where is the best place to find your vehicle?

RVTrader has been my biggest resource since it has the biggest nationwide customer base. Craigslist is pretty big too, but a good 75% are fifth wheels which don't do much people very good with the whole Mobility thing.

Verizon will start throttling customers on unlimited 4G plan

Fortunately you have to meet specific requirements, and if you're still trapped in a contract, you're safe. But the typical unlimited users will end up leaving real quick. I feel T-mobile is about to get a huge bump in user base.

Do you need to throw away a couple million?

Besides the fact that it's @$$ ugly and would be horrible to drive in that thing, it's got some cool features. I mean, who DOESN'T want a chakoozi in their mobile home?!

    Tell me what I need!

That's a good idea Bob! I do not need any of those devices. Closest thing might be a TENS machine, but since the lady is becoming a massage therapist we no longer need it! Possibly a nebulizer, but I doubt that is a large enough device to need PSW. I'll look into the MSW you mentioned.

    Tell me what I need!

So as to alleviate any potential problems, would it be best to just go for Pure Sine Wave with the additional up front cost, with an MPPT charger? Parasitical load might be a bit higher, but I'd rather get quality and avoid problems.

Checked out the blog and though it has a lot of good information, boy does he need more paragraphs. :(

    Tell me what I need!

Is a Modified Square Wave different than Modified Sine Wave? According to Bob, who uses Modified Sine Wave, he says it leeches less power from the batteries, and gives you a decent enough power stream, where Pure Sine Wave uses more power for cleaner energy. If my budget allows (all depending on...

    Tell me what I need!

I asked earlier about MPPT, and according to almost all sites, MPPT is required to get more use out of panels. Is there a specific MPPT brand charge controller I should be looking at? Will also try out the MSW inverter instead of PSW to see how it works--I don't have anything too demanding that...
