    Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner,. And Dodge

Looking at a few older diesel vans. I read somewhere to chose between 2004 -2006 to avoid the emissions stuff. Found a Freightliner 2004 with 150k miles on it and bad AC. Anyone link me information to read and study about these vans. Thank you. Sent from my moto g stylus using Tapatalk

    Ford 2011 5.4l with 100k ?

Any thoughts on a Ford with the 5.4l. I hear better to avoid and stick to Chevy. My number one is: reliable and not a money pit. Year:  2011 Make:  Ford Model:  E-350 Mileage:  110,000 Engine:  5.4L Gasoline Transmission:  Automatic Sent from my Life One X using Tapatalk

    Bob's Hightop?

It is sad when one pays 'professionals' to do a 'professional' job and end up with a mediocre service at best. This is why if a job is even remotely in my skill set, I just do it myself. I will probably end up with a mediocre result but saved money and it will come out better the second time...

    My first van purchase...please help!

It all depends on your budget and how are going to be using the van. Small trips around town, or are you planning on going cross country. If you rush, you will probably make a mistake when buying. Take time to learn about how to inspect used cars. You will surprise yourself on how much more...

    My first van purchase...please help!

Walk away from it. 200k+ miles is bad. Second and biggest red flag to me: "It has a brand new (reconditioned) transmission in it with less then 4,000 miles on it. That alone was $2,000 to install." Why would anyone spend money on a new transmission, that is working perfectly, to turn around and...

a guy offered me a free van any input would be good.

I second bardo. Sometimes you have to do things that noone in your circle of friends/family might be doing. But at least is better than staying in a bad situation. Having money offers a quick solution, but you might end up in a similar situation further down in life. Try to read and educate...

    1995 chevy 4 windows bus

But that's the risk when buying on Craigslist. You hurry and you get burned. I was waiting on buddy and mechanic to inspect it for me. I don't rush, if another buyer wants to pay more and buy right away, they can have it. Sent from my Life One X using Tapatalk

    12 volt roof AC

I was researching. There seems to be a huge difference between those portable units with a single hose vs the ones with a dual hose. Basically, the single hose uses air inside the van to cool itself and pumps it out. The two hose one uses air from outside and the condensation to cool down Price...

    12 volt roof AC

I really don't want to make this a science experiment. But it seems to me that a portable 8000btu unit should cool of a van fairly quick. Here are the unit and generator I have in mind. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006PFIA6U/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1_1_2?smid=A5D5QHQMB730E&psc=1#...

    12 volt roof AC

I live in Florida, so hot and humid here. I'm thinking of a small generator on a hitch/rack on the back and a portable unit behind the driver seat. I would go with the smallest portable unit available (8000 BTU I think) and the smallest generator that can run it (I need to research that one)...

    12 volt roof AC

Is there such a thing as 12 volt roof AC? I bought a work cargo van that has no AC stock. Trying to figure out the best way to add AC while driving and/or camping. Thanks. Sent from my Life One X using Tapatalk
