OK ... I realize I will be wiring everything, as the insulation is being done. This means I need help with wiring suggestions. Any reason Romex will not be just fine ? Should I wire for 12v as well as 120v ? Any reason ALL wires can not be on the same single circuit ? Unless plans change...

    Spray foam insulation kits?

Hey guys ... I am a newbie of course ... But I did talk with Great Stuff's Head Technical guy yesterday. He told me ANY chemical spray foam, closed or open cell, slow or fast rise, etc ... was NOT meant for filling wall cavities. Stating even if you perfectly control expansion, where it is not...

The Conversion of "Freedom" , our permanent bus home...

Hi Bob ... after the phone call I made yesterday, I fully agree with you. They told me the expansion is not really the enemy, but the fact it does not fully cure in enclosed spaces, is what makes the still wet chemicals start eating into the metal ! A disaster for sure !

The ONLY...

The Conversion of "Freedom" , our permanent bus home...

And there is this good information ... I called Great Stuff today. They told me NONE of their products will work properly inside large enclosed spaces, and is NOT for insulation at all. Only crack sealing. They said it will NOT cure, unless sprayed in 1" layers, with no thick spots, and allowed...

OK ... so those sheet metal side panels that are riveted with THOUSANDS of rivets ... They have to come out, so the insulation can be installed. BUT ... it seems like everyone puts plywood back where those metal panels were riveted in.

Is this absolutely necessary ? Are these...
