Looked at a van today, noticed something that concerned me

I'm no expert, but that sounds like cause for concern. I'd say take it to a mechanic, but if you can't drive it (no plates) then I don't see how you'd get it there unless you had it towed.

Is that why they wear such high heels?

    Woman's Forum: Potty Issues

There's definitely a mental block for me still too. I either have to be slightly drunk or have to pee super duper badly.

    Short Queen Mattress

We've bought several mattresses from Original Mattress Factory. They make their own mattresses, so they can make one in whatever size and firmness level you might want. They seem like good value for money, but they are more expensive than a value city or big lots. If there's one near you, I...

The reality of not having a home, and getting old.

That could be. Most of what I know about steam engines I've learned from Thomas the Tank Engine (and Friends) or from "Atlas Shrugged".

    Was I hallucinating?

I am not a number...I am a person! (Portmierion is technically in Wales not England.)

    Was I hallucinating?

I thought the bubble was in front of him not behind him?

    Towels towels towels

You can spell it with a C or a K. I live here in The Peoples State of California.

Jucy is selling their mini van RVs

That sounds like a good deal to me. If I didn't need it to seat more than 5 I'd be all over that. I don't know a massive amount about DGCs though.

    Dentists of Algadones

I keep seeing this thread and thinking "Dentists of Algadones" sounds like a 1960's horror movie. Or possibly a rock band.

    CA Student Shower Access Bill

Wouldn't all students (homeless or not) already have the ability to use the showers in the gym area of the college? Seems like this bill is just so some lawmakers can say "look how we're helping homeless students". But they're not really doing anything.

50 Ways to Make Extra Money

I work about 6 hours a day and make about $30-$40 a week. Mostly of the 6 hours is spent waiting for a HIT (what mTurk calls their jobs). If I wasn't looking after my 3 year old, I'd probably do transcription on CrowdSurf they pay pretty well.

    What about online security

We don't use public wifi for purchasing things. BUT. If you want to do so, the safest way to do it is to have a checking account that is separate from your other accounts. Keep a small amount of money in there and only use that account for purchasing things online. Do NOT set it up with any...

Two people on $15 a day

I link this so often, I really should have it bookmarked. http://www.leannebrown.com/ She wrote a cookbook based on what you could eat for $4 a day (food stamp budget when she wrote the 1st edition). Personally I find it's more like $5 or $6 per day, depending on where you live. I really...

Where Did National Forests Go? Green Spaces Disappear From Google Maps

*shrug* I live in Silicon Valley, my husband is a coder. These things happen. It'll probably be fixed in the next update. :)

Where Did National Forests Go? Green Spaces Disappear From Google Maps

Coding error? I don't think it's anything nefarious. Someone likely forgot to load the National Parks data set into the latest update.

Experience caravaning? Small groups or pairs?

We've done a caravan, but it was more a "we're all taking the same route and planning to stop at the same places". This was in the days before cell phones. We didn't worry about being in visual contact or anything, but we usually could see at least the caravan car ahead of us and behind us...
