The Carlin Trend has been a very rich producer of gold. It is low grade and takes heap leaching to recover it. There is more to mineral rights though than microscopic gold.

If the Bondo is exposed to water it might not stay as long as you would like. Needs to be primed and painted if exposed on the bottom side. I worked with that stuff for years. Then again it may last as long as you have the van.
