    Doing without a microwave?

I tried out reheating left over, previously oven baked pizza tonight in a skillet on the stove.<br><br>I put a tiny bit of corn oil (all I have) in the skillet and took a spatula and spread it all around. Just enough to coat it... so little you couldn't hardly see it after it was spread around...

Looking for ways to reduce RV weight

'<br><br>Ouch! What kind/size? Mine (see sig) seems to be getting about 10 average mpg in my experience (about 60% hwy, 40% city). But that's not towing and without a full tank of gas (1/4 tank or so) and with an empty water tank. Thats at 55mph tops (some fairly steep hills) but taking it very...

    Doing without a microwave?

&gt;Uh.. you don't have to get an attitude about it. I was just pointing out my personal situation in relation to it. Geeze..

buying a base station piece of land

My problem with that is that cheap land is going to be pretty isolated which I wouldn't like. For the cost of gas back and forth to a large city constantly... and the hassle.. I may as well pay RV spot rent.

    Doing without a microwave?

I'm not sure I need in home pizza bad enough to bother with that. If I can't make it in a skillet with a round baking rack with feet set inside, then I can go out for pizza.

    Doing without a microwave?

As infrequently as I might "need" to bake... such as pizza... heck.. I can go out and get a cheap pizza buffet or a lunch time pizza deal for about $5. Or pan bake a home made one like you said if I don't want to just buy a cheap, small frozen one.<br><br>If I find an Ovenettte in a thrift store...

    Doing without a microwave?

Hmm... the only things I much cook in the oven really are tator tots.. garlic toast, biscuits and pizza. <br><br>It's actually not too hard to cook all of those foods in a skillet on the stove top. <br><br>Perhaps find a round baking rack to fit inside of a skillet that has a lid. Might not work...

    Doing without a microwave?

<p>The one pictured above was a sold one from ebay. I posted it's pic since it showed all the parts to it pretty well. The hole in the bottom looks smaller possibly than the old Ovenettes so it might fit the small burners of my van's stove better. (I just noticed... the one I pictured above has...

    Doing without a microwave?

<br><br><br>I can't seem to find one on ebay right now. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for one. I'm not in that big of a hurry for one. <br><br>(Funny... I started to think you mean the electric model that *is* on ebay until I went back to that site and looked at the manual they have. I was...

    Healthy snack?

Raisins are great and take no refrigeration. Other dried fruits and nuts as well but as you said, can get expensive. If you are near enough to a grocery store on a daily basis... go in and buy a single piece of fruit for your snack that day. Or two if you like 2 snacks.<br><br>While not a snack...

    Doing without a microwave?

I am rethinking having a microwave due to the space it takes up.<br><br>I picked up a used red Sharp Half Pint microwave last year for a cheap price. It works great.. it's just missing the glass tray inside. Despite being about as small as microwaves come, it takes 1/3 of the closet/wardrobe...

    Motorized bike, anyone have one?

Honda only began making new mid range scooters again a few years ago. Before that, it was 80cc and then jumped to 244cc (Helix) / 240cc (Reflex). They came out with the sh150i in 2010 but stopped it fast it seems. Now they offer the PCX150. It boggles my mind they never brought back the Big...

    Motorized bike, anyone have one?

50ccs are nice for urban use since you can usually get around on side streets 95% of the time. Even in a 40mph zone, you can do 30 and be ok, especially if it's 2 lanes in the same direction you are going since cars can pass you.<br><br>But if I had to register and insurance a 50cc, I wouldn't...

Cool. I wish I had gotten one of them instead of this Xplorer. Would have been roomier and better on gas. But your is manual transmission I see which I wouldn't want.

How to deal with mice in the RV

Sticky traps works great if they are already there and you need rid of them. By their very nature, you know if they're working. Plus they can't get away and die inside the wall or something.

    Motorized bike, anyone have one?

A 250cc may be more your speed if you want to do 70 easily. Generally I think a 125-150 does about 60-65mph very top end, not factoring in wind, hills, etc. A 250 is about 100lbs heavier than a 125-150cc, however. But it will get you up to 70mph on level roads.<br><br>I wouldn't take a 150 on a...

    rear view mirror installation

It's very easy to do. Avoid the junk kit at Big Lots. I bought it and it had about 1/4 the glue it should have had. Waste of money. Get one from Oreilly, napa, etc. You can get peal and stick kinds but I don't know how well they work. I used the kind where you apply the glue to the old mounting...
