Very new and not yet on the road but working on it. I've been watching everything I can on youtube and have a whole pad full of sketches and ideas. What I will likely end up with will probably not be nearly as cool as the ones I see but it will be home for a time. I am currently in Maine but looking to head for Colorado end of January to begin searching. Nothing here is rust free ;).
My mailing address will be here but I have family and peeps all over the country whom I'll be visiting once I get going. As for work I do most remotely already; I write and publish books and do graphics so the computer will be an integral part of the build. I also do the self-reliance expo (I think we've decided to do it once per year at this point and it will be in Colorado as well) I attend conferences and think to myself wow I can save some real bucks on hotel rooms.
It will at the very least be an experience and anyone that knows me knows it will be full of interesting bits. I plan to write about them and the whole life as a whole. But anyway, here I am saying hello all.

Welcome to the Van Living Forum :)

There is plenty to learn here and much of the homework has already been done for those who arrive on this forum. It's only a matter of reading. Of course you can always ask questions. If you are intending to travel in the nicer months of the year you could outfit a simple rig to travel, cook lite meals, and live within. The money you save on commercial lodging can purchase plenty of fuel for your travels. A national membership to a Gym such as "Planet Fitness" (just an example) would provide bathroom/shower facilities along the way and laundromat's are beginning to list themselves in websites for travelers.

You'll soon begin to learn a method of thinking that goes with this lifestyle and travel. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

There are two links below that may address your interests, needs, and convenience. Please feel free to spend some time browsing in them.

All the best !

I knew I recognized your name from the books I read. Enjoy the forum and good luck on your van adventures.

Thank you! I will check them out!

Great book! It’s an easy read and good characters, subject, and fast pace. I’m recommending them to my Mom and will write a great review!

Welcome! I'm not a full timer, just a traveler. I often take trips of 10-14 days at a time. I have found such peace and tranquility on the road. I have a trip planned for the northeast this year, not sure when yet. Keep us posted on your developments.
