I’m considering documenting my build and travels/misadventures. But I‘m not a YouTuber and lack that mentality and know how. I don’t want the YouTube aspect to get in the way of my build but I would like to help others. i could buy a GoPro but would prefer something cheaper. I have a decent digital camera with a good video I’ve used when analyzing golf swings. Put it on a tripod? Buy a cheap GoPro alternative?

i’d like some ideas.

And I’d like to say that only having made one previous post I am amazed at the responses I have received. So many other forums can be a real waiting game. Well, unless you hit a nerve and THEN you get responses. So thanks, really. I’m already enjoying this forum!

I have been using an original Osmo Action cam.. it looks and functions just like the GoPro, but is limited to 1080 rez videos... but I don't upload at more than that,, so it is moot... I am not sure you could buy one... ( looks online) .. yeah.. no new ones out there,... another way to do it is to buy a new old stock GoPro....

I found the Osmo on Amazon (Japan) for 47,000¥. But I found a GoPro8 for 54,000¥. So $325/$375.
