Solar generator value retention

I’m trying to figure out if should buy a Bluetti ac200max or some $1000 $1200 model that includes solar panels. I’m really impressed with the Bluetti, if it didn’t have issues charging secondary batteries without fidgeting with it (as indicated in a Prowse video from a little while back).

First, how well do these products resell for?

Second, is this still an issue with Bluetti ac200max?

Ya gotta ask yourself: "What is a solar setup worth to ME in terms of making my life easier, providing support to my desired quality of life, and ensuring that I have some basic resources to live on the road without depending on having to rely on outside inputs which may or may not be available when I need them? Caveat Emptor though.

With popular brands such as Bluetti, you're paying a significant premium for a label. There are tons of products out there which don't have the "brand" recognition, but are every bit as reliable (if not more) and cost a great deal less. They may, in fact, be produced at the same factory from the same plans, but have a different brand label stuck on them going out the door. Do your due diligence and you'll probably be able to get the same capabilities but at a far less costly designer price.

Go with a product where the batteries are replaceable by the end user.

Considering how inexpensive good used panels are, or even new ones, I would buy panels separately. You can use the money saved on more battery storage.
