New Discord Channel - TheFire - Voice Chat

Discord is a program used by millions to create chat rooms to give people with like activities a place to roost. I found the application though computer gaming, where it is used to facilitate voice communications between team members in live competitions. The one resource I had not found was a place to voice chat with others in the nomad community, so I created one. I belong to several channels and have a few of my own for various projects and games I play. TheFire is not intended to create another skills resource or to supplant existing resources, but to add a facility for the community to allow people to chat as they would around the fire, as we do when we choose to camp together.

Discord is a free to use program that will run on PC, Android, IOS, Linux and Mac. It will work well with any connection that gives you OK internet... iow it is not resource hungry. I have used it for years without issue. It is free form and can be used for intended gatherings, or.. just stop by TheFire to chat now and again.

TheFire is an informal unorganized chatroom for Nomads.
