    Obamacare, (ACA), stress test

What is a G plan? There's parts A, B, C and D. A is for hospitals, B for doctors, and D for prescription. I haven't heard of G. Then there are "supplemental" plans, whatever those are, and then Medicare Advantage which is A, B, C, and D? My mom will have insurance from her state job when...

    Obamacare, (ACA), stress test

It's great to hear your wife was able to get the care she needed, with cost at a minimum and not bankrupting you. What Medicare G plan do you have? I need to sign my mom and step-dad up for Medicare/social security and I'm so confused about the supplementals.

    How I Became a Vagabond

John, Thanks for sharing. Keep posting, it's fascinating. You should write and publish a memoir (like you have started here).

    When was the forum sold?

I didn't think there were other Nomad forums. There are some sub Reddit type things, that's all I have seen.

    When was the forum sold?

It seems totally different, I can't place it though. It seems quieter here now, at least. It wasn't even that long ago!

    When was the forum sold?

I joined when this was cheaprvliving, because of Bob. I love Bob. Anyway, is this now primarily a vandwellers forum like the Instagram 20 year olds are doing (vanlife)? I'm a little confused since I haven't been active since the change. It doesn't seem that way. This used to be the nomad...

How soon will electric or hybrid vans/RVs be common?

Tesla is allowing it soon, it's already on the app. They are not available yet, but Tesla is getting ready. Here's what I saw today on my app:

How soon will electric or hybrid vans/RVs be common?

Forever. They would get 2 to 3 miles every hour. When I had my AC running in camping mode, I was getting between 0 and 1 mph at 120v. See attached. From Tesla's website: " A 120 volt outlet will supply 2 to 3 miles of range per hour charged. If you charge overnight and drive less than 30...

How soon will electric or hybrid vans/RVs be common?

I have done my best to correct the misinformation posted about Teslas here. There are not 2 to 4 hour waits. Batteries are meant to go 300k-500k for NCA technology and double that for LFP (which don't catch fire), not the 100k that you repeatedly postulate. I actually own one of these and...

How soon will electric or hybrid vans/RVs be common?

Zero Motorcycles have upwards of 223 miles of range. I ride manual bikes, so I have not been on one of these, but maybe you would like it. https://www.hotcars.com/longest-range-electric-motorcycles-ranked/ As far as distances, a Tesla MS can go 405 miles. That would be just fine in the...

How soon will electric or hybrid vans/RVs be common?

In 2018, the batteries were 75kWh for the Model X 75D, and 100 kWh for the Model X 100D. The MS is on the same platform. The Model Y didn't exist in 2018. The Model 3 LR and M3P has an 80.5 kWh battery.

How soon will electric or hybrid vans/RVs be common?

The Model 3 RWD has a LFP (Lithium Iron Phophate) battery. The battery size varies based on the model. The M3 RWD has a 60kWh battery. The M3 LR and M3P have an 80kWh battery. The MS and MX are on the same platform, and the battery is 100kWh.
