I'm a somewhat senior adult male (59) stuck in a position that I thought I would never be in. Although it is helpful to the ones that I'm living with (iearents), this was not at all what I had imagined for myself. A turn of unfortunate events that started in 2005. If I'm not mistaken, at the time I had to move back home, the Census Bureau labeled people like myself as homeless. I honestly never considered myself homeless. I just could not see myself being able to afford living with the high rent the way it was at the time. So, I stayed with family, which I'm glad I did, to help out as much as I can since my parents are up in years. But the time has come that I move on. I am constantly feeling that I have more to do, more to see, and much more to offer then setting and wasting away as it were. So, hince the move to vanlife.
