    Just Got a Van!

Nice van! Looking forward to pics of your build. I installed a Maxxair roof fan on mine and really like it. I can leave it open during rain storms without water coming in. What area will you be traveling in? I use reflectix for insulation but I live in the humid south and want to keep heat out...

    what camping stove

I picked up a Stansport Duel Fuel single burner recently . It is on clearance at REI plus I had a coupon so it was cheap. It runs off of butane or propane canisters making fuel easy to find. Ive only tried it with butane but it looks like a good option if one is already carrying propane for a...

    Partition/half wall

Your videos reminded me of a van built by a couple I know. Many years ago when their VW camper van wore out, they salvaged the interior and installed it into a ford cargo van complete with crank out windows ! The Ford was bigger so they built a few extra cabinets to fill in the gaps. That...

Welcome to the forum Hank! I had the same concerns about condensation and sound when building my van. I wanted the wall covering to be removable for inspection too. My build write up is at tincanexpress.com/camper-van-build-walls/ if you want to see it. So far it's working great. Good luck with...

If you could only buy 2 power tools for a fresh van conversion, what would they be?

A drill and a jigsaw were my most used power tools during the build. I cut more metal with the jigsaw than I did wood.

Anyone trying a hammock for sleeping?

Sure Do ! I prefer an Eno Doublenest for solo trips. I have a large Mayan Hammock that I use every night I'm not in the van, most comfortable thing I own !

    Where should I go?

The area where Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama meetup is nice this time of year. Plenty of views to be had here such as CloudLand Canyon, Little River Canyon and anything around Lookout Mtn. The spring Flowers start coming up in mid March .
