Today I moved me and the cat and dog back up to Payson. With some trepidation I turned on the furnace when it got dark and chilly outside. Luckily it works! I knew my propane tank was working well as I had burners and water heater heat. These older Class A motor homes are always exciting.
Inflatable mattresses are not a great option. The standard ones can get cool under you from the air currents. Walmart has a blue closed cell foam pad for $11 last time I looked. Being closed cell it is warmer. Being about an inch in thickness it is not probably as much padding as you will...
The wind has been rocking the motor home all day. It just started raining lightly here in Quartzsite. Where I'm moving this next week has snow and freezing temps all week. I think I'll stay around Q for another week.
There is an MD Anderson Cancer clinic in Phoenix. I go there for my yearly cancer checkups. If you can get insurance that will cover Banner Hospital then I can recommend MD Anderson without reservation.
Rain has started in Quartzsite. I was worried when it was 54* and windy at 5:30am. Growing up in the Midwest I don't like it when it is too warm and the wind picks up. That used to mean tornado.
@Gr8ful I think you are the one who turned me onto the just add water disposable wipes. I ordered a bunch (which I still have a few) at the time. It was when I was talking to a cousin who was traveling internationally about the joys of dry wipes for travel that I saw they disappeared. The...
I use the Scrubzz just add water wipes and usually cut them into quarters. A quarter of one will do face and neck, and a bit more as I work down. I also like to have a 'fresh' quarter to rotate in as I work down rather than one larger sheet.
Vancity Vanlife on YouTube has moved into an uninsulated van as his van needs a new engine and he is using an all in one diesel furnace in a somewhat temporary setup. I can hear the clicking of the pump in his videos. Some sound insulation around that area may be in order.
Today I move the cat and dog to the motor home in Quartzsite. I'm not sure this having 2 motor homes is any less work. I will officially be in Q for the winter, but then I come back up here and clean and winterize and move to storage the motor home up here. I'm hoping by November 1 things...
It is cold here at night (50's?) and I've run out of propane with less than 2 weeks left to stay in this spot. I have an electric heater running and just put in an order for a new tank. I'll try to store the almost full tank behind the rig once I move it to the storage spot for this winter...
