DIY Hydronic heating on the cheap!

Mr. Heater Buddy, and I understand this is counterintuitive, does anything but dry out the air. In fact, burning propane in a semi-isolated (read cracked windows) environment will increase humidity 10 fold. Magnesium Chloride will become your friend in such situations. Byproducts of Propane...

    12 Volt microwave

Nothing personal Francis, I just can't understand the need for a 1000W energy sink, that destroys whatever item you insert,  in an environment where every watt counts. I would insert my hand into hot water...no so much a running MICROWAVE!

DIY Hydronic heating on the cheap!

That's odd, because the on-demand water heater you have proposed in your hypothetical hydronic heating sytem (HHHS), is pretty much just a Mr. Heater Buddy with a radiator, and a flow switch, to heat the water.  I can understand reinventing the wheel as well as anyone though, it can be a fun...

Is the water heater vented out the back, not vented, etc... Also what size/model do you have, and do you just use it for the kitchen, or is it a shower too? I have been thinking I need an outside shower, and since I already have 3 propane appliances, a 4th is no problem. Nice post!

    12 Volt microwave

Oh, that's just precious. Doesn't effect the validity of my observation, and thesis for argument; People that use microwaves can't cook. Full stop.  Plus, the power consumption is a no brainer for cheap living. Microwaves, not unlike air conditioners, are two items that don't belong in the same...

    Side Mounted Solar

This is kinda "side"...Pretty sure the owner was selling power to the rest of the camp.

Perhaps all the peeps have store bought kitchens, or they're embarrassed to post a pic of their Chinese microwave... And that's a nice camp kitchen there "Cookie". I had plans of adding an outdoor propane grill...you know, removable for driving. I think I was looking at a Camp Chef, but I've...

    12 Volt microwave

Microwaves are for people who can't cook. It always fascinates me that car/van/truck, etc...dwellers find them to be a necessary appliance. Besides being HUGE power sinks, they just suck at heating up food. Eat healthy, eat fresh, throw away that microwave!

Yeah, I have cooked in a few commercial kitchens and never seen anything like it, but it works perfect for my application. Here's another shot. I bought this white shelf thing, that is above my hood from back to front, from Home DePot (a closet organizer). I remember it was a 14ft shelf for...

Thanks! At the moment, my house needs janitorial servicing (it's a mess, and it's a rainy-stay inside-do nothing day), but here's a shot of me getting ready (read high), before a show. I have a futon, that I'm sitting on, that is my bed. When I get around to it, next time I clean, I will post up...

I'm not sure how you would notch it...it's funny, but  I found this plastic piece behind an out of business restaurant long before I put in the sink. I didn't cut it, it just fits. Not sure if you could see before but one side has a 90* bend. And yes, the faucet is really cool! My friends wife...

This is my set up. It's been a one thing at a time build, with no real plan, other than I like to cook gourmet food, and school buses don't come with a kitchen. So, my first acquisition was the 2 burner propane stove from Wallys, I recall it was $40 shipped to the store. I bought the big cookie...

    1st imoressions Ryobi 900w/700w propane generator $299

Ok, let's see if all yawl have any ideas on a mounting/lifting system for my under bus battery charging dream. Take a look at the pics...i've decided behind the fuel tank, dead center at the rear of the bus, is a better location than behind a set of dual mud slingers. What you can see is plenty...
