    Interesting Articles Relating to EVs

You make some good points, but this isn't one of them. The following came because he delivered. Hype doesn't get you very far when you're making real things and selling them to the general public. I don't understand your remark that he *needed* to make EVs work, and this was an advantage...

    Interesting Articles Relating to EVs

It's a little like saying cars existed over 100 years ago with batteries and electric motors, so forever after "EV tech already existed". I'm not saying Tesla "invented" the electric motor, or lithium batteries, or regen, or all the other things, but they did bring these from a crude level of...

    Interesting Articles Relating to EVs

Everything you mentioned was crude and primitive compared to what exists today. Batteries and battery management, motors, software, aero, regen, etc. Huge improvements were necessary to produce a vehicle with enough range, performance, battery life, and low enough cost to compete with and beat...

Roof Computer fans instead of a fantastic fan?

Another consideration regarding fans is how well they perform against an adverse pressure gradient. I couldn't find this info for either option in a quick search, but if you want them to function when driving, this will be important. I don't think an open window can be counted on to pressurize...

    Interesting Articles Relating to EVs

The tech was certainly not there when Tesla started, and they "pushed the narrative" by investing a shitton of $$$ on development, and actually bringing the tech into viability. None of the big auto manufacturers wanted to risk it beyond token efforts. If it was up to them, EVs would still be...

Roof Computer fans instead of a fantastic fan?

A typical 120mm computer fan will flow ~1/20th of the air that a Maxxfan does. You can mount normal RV fans on their side. I think this would be simpler, as you'll need to figure out how to seal and cover the computer fans.

America the Miserable depending on your age!

The "manufactured propaganda" isn't the event itself, but the story that this means there is a gun violence crisis that needs to to be stopped, and the constant fueling of division, hatred, and anxiety. Did you see my answer to your "sand battery" question?

...of developing the tech to make EVs viable. They're still the best you can buy, but expensive... and the Cybertruck was a big waste. EVs sales in the US dropped 7% last quarter and 9% for Tesla.

Edward Abbey used to say "meet them at the border, give them a rifle, and turn them around"

America the Miserable depending on your age!

Just like the silly propaganda that tells us immigrants are good because "total GDP goes up"... we want to look at the rate (per capita). Letting in a bunch of poor immigrants is clearly bad for citizens who work for a living and pay taxes, but good for people who "own the country". How about...

America the Miserable depending on your age!

Regarding suicide, I thought this was interesting. Our increasing suicide rate is an outlier among OECD countries. And recently the 20-40 year olds have had a big increase, while 40-60s have declined.

That coincides with a pretty dramatic decrease in violent crime. But... it went down even more when they were allowed again. So it would seem there is a factor "X" that is more relevant.

America the Miserable depending on your age!

I guess you mean to gather a few hundred pounds (maybe thousands?) of it to put inside your rig to even out the temperatures, then dump it out when you travel? It will depend on how much of it you store and how well your rig is insulated and sealed. Note that water is a better thermal capacitor...

America the Miserable depending on your age!

The question is why are you concerned about it? There is no crisis regarding guns that needs to be addressed. Only one that has been manufactured with propaganda that has only made the situation worse. You could very well read the 2nd amendment to mean that there should be absolutely no...
