Those are all good points. I'm glad I have a flat surface but loosing a few inches in such a small space is significant.

I put a floor in my Sienna. Lost almost 2" in the front but it sure makes things easier for building and keeps the seat mounts hidden.

I figured once I remove the rear seats and add a kitchenette back there that will be a wash as well. Then it'll just be the "stuff" I pack that'll be additional weight. Shouldn't be much more than one or two passengers worth of weight I hope.
