... a friend of mine lived in his Mustang for about a year to save money, the rear seats fold down for access to the trunk, he moved the front passenger seat forward , slept with pillow against back of front seat with legs/feet in the trunk - he's 6'1" , takes a little ingenuity but do-able ...

I will 2nd what WalkaboutTed wrote about the Nissan NV. I have a 2016 NV 2500 high roof 6cyl. avg 15mpg but at 6' 1" I can stand, even after building it out. Have been across the country many times, great vehicle and it's my full time home. Good luck with your choice, the Promaster gets better...

...   nice choice CamperJ , I'm very satisfied with my '16 2500 V6 , fyi , the cabin air filter box is there but empty - the filter for the Nissan GTR is the one that fits . Gotta remove the glove box to get to it . Good luck with yours , I still go almost everywhere I did when I had a 4x4 ...
