SOLD! 2002 GMC Savana 2500 campervan $7,000 Colorado

This is a home built camper van for sale. I used this site for its knowledge and resources to build this camper about 3 years ago and had a blast building and using it. I've gotten lots of use out of it but the time has come to move on. 2002 GMC Savana 2500 Miles: 231000 VIN: 1GTGG25R121902263...

Verizon resumes offering unlimited data plans

I switched to the new unlimited plan as soon as it became available. I was already paying for 12gb of data a month for around 160 a month, so I figured the unlimited plan is cheaper and I get more data, even if it is de-prioritized after 22gb and 10gb for tethering. So I decided to see how much...

the Flexible Apartment Roaming Transport build

So, it's been over a year in the van and I decided that I needed to change my bed design. It was too narrow when it was closed and a pain in the ass to open into a bigger bed. Plus it took up so much room when it was extended. So I tore it apart and made it slide front to back instead of side...

the Flexible Apartment Roaming Transport build

Well I figure I would be nice and post a "how to" for everybody as a thanks for all the inspiration and help that I have received from this site. All in all I only went $300 over my $5000 budget, including the purchase of the van. ENJOY! Step one: Acquire van with similar interior features to...

the Flexible Apartment Roaming Transport build

Thanks, I dont realize how much its changed until I look at the older pictures I took. Those plastic drawers have velcro on the inside edges of them to help hold the in place. Yes, the net will need to be on the inside part so it does not get in the way of the bed when it is fully extended.

the Flexible Apartment Roaming Transport build

Only 7 days left until I am full timing in this bad boy. I am to the point to where I am starting to see what I can fit in all my storage spaces, hopefully I built enough. The only thing I want to add is a cargo net underneath the kitchen counter, but thats only because I cant figure out...

the Flexible Apartment Roaming Transport build

I kinda like the black, I figure the van is already bright yellow so I really never had any stealthyness to begin with. And I got the vent from Etrailer.com

the Flexible Apartment Roaming Transport build

Things are starting to pick back up again and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Bought some cabinets for the Re-Store. Chopped a little bit off of both of em and the fit like a glove. I also relocated my light switches and charge controller. And finally got some ventilation...

the Flexible Apartment Roaming Transport build

I keep telling myself I'll be finished next month and I will finally move into the van. But it looks like I'll be setting my move in date another month out. But I have made progress, my kitchen area is mostly done but still need a lot of work. Like plumbing, finishing the counter top and finding...

the Flexible Apartment Roaming Transport build

My original plan was to build it just like yours, but then I saw a video where someone used metal slides and I had to do it. A little more expensive but I really like the way it turned out. Also is that just a futon mattress or did you make it?

the Flexible Apartment Roaming Transport build

Each set is rated at 100lbs when fully extended and there is five sets, so in theory it should be able to support 500 lbs. I am able to put my full body weight on the very edge with almost zero flex. But I have thought about putting a support runner along the kitchen area which the bed will be...
