Trouble with my Mr. Heater Little Buddy

Is this the third current thread on the Lil Buddy?

    Which Foam Mattress to buy?

The closest Walmart stocks the Dream Serenity line. Their 4" mattress is 2"of support and 2" of memory foam for 105.00. Another 1.5" of topper is 40 bucks.  Yesterday I got a quote from Foam Factory for a mattress cut to my specs of 33" x 74". 4" of HD36 foam with 3" of memory foam, with a...

    Which Foam Mattress to buy?

I've read all of the posts in this thread and Googled most of the brand names mentioned. I'm posting to ask if there are any additional or newer products someone would like to mention.  I've begun building a sleeping platform in the back of my Astro cargo van. I need a mattress with dimensions...

    Planet Fitness

I tend to avoid big cities unless there's a museum or gallery I want to visit, so that puts AF in the plus column. And, it sounds like you were able to use your enrollment paperwork to get you in the door of any AF during business hours during the 30 day period, and that's another plus.  On...

    newbie question

I've been following the various threads on heating since I'm dealing with a similar situation, except, I've done quite a bit of insulating with more on the way. Insulation is for cooling as well as heating.  I tried the smaller Buddy for two winters. The elevation restrictions are very real and...

Roof vent installation on high top van?

I got up close to a Maxx Air 12v roof vent the other day and I was impressed with the quality of the construction.   My first roof vent was one of the 9" by 9" units and I think I paid around 20 dollars, for it so a vent can be had quite inexpensively, and it's easy to upgrade to the 14" unit...

Will this work to control moisture?

Different parts of the country carry different brands. Colorado has been my home base for the last 9 years and humidity is definitely not a problem there so I'm out of touch with current products. You can skip over to Walmart or your nearest good quality hardware store, or Amazon, and check out...

Roof vent installation on high top van?

I've done quite a bit of work on boats and I've installed about a million screws into fiberglass after drilling the proper pilot hole, so I guess I've had a different experience. I don't know how thick his roof material is but if it's in the 3/32"  range he should be fine with 3/4", #8...

Roof vent installation on high top van?

Can you think of a single fiberglass boat that doesn't have holes cut or drilled through the glass to mount hardware? Cut away. Fiberglass is notoriously hard on blades so use a new one. If you use a jigsaw, use a blade with a higher number of teeth for a finer cut. As has been mentioned, lay...

    Hello (: New here.

When I was 20 I spent a summer living in the back of a 1952 Pontiac station wagon and toured around B.C. I hope it's still a magical province and that you live your dreams. Do your research and then take the leap.

Will this work to control moisture?

I lived on a sailboat in north Florida where humidity was high year round. To reduce mold on the inner hull I'd buy these dehumidifiers sold at the hardware store meant to hang in humid places, like closets or crawl spaces. They were inexpensive and did a decent job of reducing moisture in the air.

    Planet Fitness

I'd like a place to work out as much as I'd like access to showers. I live in my van and am on the road for 4-5 months yearly. I've been looking at the Planet Fitness and Anytime Fitness web pages trying to figure out which might be best for me. The Black Card at 20 bucks a month offered by...

Living in your vehicle in Phoenix.. in the summer.

I'd be looking into memberships with GoodSam and the like as a possible source of places to stay. I stayed in my van last summer, the hottest one on record for Colorado. Days were out of the question unless I had good shade, but with few exceptions evenings cooled nicely late in the evening...

need advice for heating van with battery

I bought my 12v heating blanket at Cabelas. It comes with a built in timer that shuts it off at 30 or 45 minutes. I plug it in about 30 minutes before turning in to warm my bedding. If the night is cool I'll turn it on again sometime during the night. Battery draw is minimal. I put it under my...
