My 10ft Box Camper Van Buld

JYD - that rig is lookin' SWEET! Man, thinking back to where you started - HUGE result. New cam seems about the same to me, sound is little louder. Great deal on the refer, not sure where I'd put it in your layout. I've seen 'em set into a countertop so they are level with the top of the...

    Anybody convert one of these?

Thanks! There's a thread in builds that described removing the door, sounds like the way to go. There's probably several members who have a step van, one I have seen is flying kurbmaster, his is really nice.

Ford E450 Box Truck RV Conversion

Wow! Beautiful craftsmanship. Engineering is really the word for it. Congrats on your vehicle, I empathize with you on working in that heat! I lived up north from you, in the Lauderdale area for some years. I have been thinking about a box truck too, and was wondering how to remove the roll up...

    Anybody convert one of these?

I have a question for you builders that have the sliding rear door. Does it leak air/dust? I really like these vehicles for their size and height, but I was planning on replacing the slider with a wall and door.

    Plan change to Class C?

No vehicle purchased yet : (  Thinking about a box truck. Like the ease of build/stand up room.

    Plan change to Class C?

Hmm. I've never seen that (that I know of). If you can, would you post a pic? Have you ever removed one of those doors? I know for garage roll ups, it can be dangerous. Good tip on the marine stuff!

    Plan change to Class C?

Yeah, me too. That way does have it's good points. However, if you think about it, the new wall must have space above it for the roll up door to move through it. And you still have all the weight of the door, hardware, tracks, springs, etc. I would want to remove the door, but I can see why...

    Plan change to Class C?

I'm a total beginner, but I was also looking into box trucks for their straight surfaces, and ready to go stand up height. Uhaul sells the ones they are retiring. I've been looking at the 10" box units. I've seen decent ones for less than 7k. The problem I've seen is: the rear door leaks heat...

    Building Arabella

Good tip on the 3/4 ply. Maybe epoxy would work for holding the wood blocks to fiberglass? Maybe the heat made the spray adhesive come loose? I've seen automotive upholstery workers use a spray glue. It must hold up to high temps. How about contact cement? Or, if you used a backing board like...

My 10ft Box Camper Van Buld

Wow. Watched your first video - it was great. Gonna be watching the rest! I'm jealous of your shop, and overall know how. It's a beautiful thing to take a bunch of parts, and make something useful. I've also been considering a 10' box van. I like the stand up height, overall size, and ease of...

My friend's dad found a bottled water on his desk one morning recently, and had a sip. It was cleaning fluid. An employee had re-filled the bottle with it. A few hours later, he was dead : (   Carpe Diem Yeah. I had a busy time the last few days, hopefully can get going again soon. Thanks!

    Free E books

Got my latest one on craigslist for $45. It's a paperwhite, not the latest, maybe a 6? Anyway, I recommend the paperwhite ones, the touchscreen and built in light are real handy. Also using calibre, it's free, and great for managing, and converting, your e-books. Sometimes when I mention how...
