Leaky roof

6’2” (last I measured) and around the 90Kg mark. Still gainfully employed in the plastic injection moulding industry as a Quality manger & ISO
representative, I’m also the organisation’s paramedic & training officer.
Although I’ve been unmarried all my life, I do have a family which I’m still, in part, still financially supporting.
I could best describe myself as an introvert, and shy away from groups and such interactions...
My home language is Africkaans, so in advance, I do humbly apologise for my many spelling and other grammatical mistakes.... Hopefully there will be many to come.
Back in 1994 I fostered a lad of 14, and it’s the resulting consequence of my undertaking to ensure his success in life. He is happily married and has 2 children, the tyke is 9 and the wee lass is 8.
About 5 years ago, I bought them a house with a garden cottage, and we live on the same property, with one big difference.... I lock up and wobble off, he stays behind and mows the grass, cleans the swimming pool, and and and... A situation I’m rather pleased with....
Although a seasoned camper / outdoors-er I don’t have any plans to become permanently nomadic, however I do plan that, for the foreseeable future my vacations will be nomadic... There are any number of touring foci that I want to tick off my bucket list before I hit the dirt...
To do this successfully, I need a capable 4x4 (or as you fellas say off-road capable) platform / vehicle, and no trailer... Fact is, some places I wish to visit, trailer’s are not permitted. So it’s a case of tenting (either ground tent or roof-top) or living out of my vehicle, and as the latter is by far the less work, I’ve opted for that route, which brings me to this particular forum. After all who best to get advice from than people who do this full time... And for many years... Brilliant!
