I loved the Nomadland movie and book! Each broadened my understanding of folks I've met through work who were van dwellers, and recharged my dormant dreams of adventures possible in retirement. We fully own our home and are modestly financially sable. We've each lived in four states, with house-less adventures in between. I'm 66, a 4 year cancer survivor (with other pesky health challenges), and currently phasing into retirement, wanting to find a new purpose. I've primarily done office work: legal secretary, social worker, and code enforcement support staff. My social work experience included assisting community based elders, hospice, homeless prevention, food pantry, thrift store, and community resource referrals. Our two kids are grown and thriving. Kurt's working full time as a recycling associate, with plans to retire in two years; he's a strong and healthy man, good humored, and curious. While we're both introverts, we care about the well-being of others and social justice. I'm eager to learn and adapt to new possibilities. ~ Linda
