    Fan sealant

How often should we reapply DiCor self leveling sealant around our roof fan? We put the fan in 2 years ago and sealed it at that time. All still appears to be fine (no water leakage). Should we apply more for prevention? Any advice appreciated.

    Going full-time

We lived in Paducah, KY for the last 27 years. Overland One- Land Between the Lakes in KY/TN would be a good option not too far from Bowling Green if you need a place to start out. They allow dispersed camping with a annual permit that isn't too costly. We definitely agree with Bullfrog...

    Going full-time

After several years of part-time van travels in Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, and Chevy Express, we have sold our sticks and bricks to full-time in the Chevy Express. Your advice through the last several years has been very helpful. Got on the road yesterday from KY on our way to see the desert...

    Important documents

We are getting ready to sell our sticks and bricks and hit the road full-time. We are wondering where full-timers keep important documents such as birth certificates, car titles, marriage license, will, life insurance policies, etc. Things that in the past we kept in a safe deposit box at the...

    REMOVING SEATS

Having stored seats first from a Toyota Sienna and then from a Chevy Express, I would recommend getting rid of them however you can as soon as you can. In both cases, we thought we might need them in the future, but that has not turned out to be the case. The Sienna seats were ruined by mice...

    Swivel seat in Chevy Express

We only installed swivel base on passenger seat. It has a flip up armrest on the left side (-toward middle of van). We have no problems with it. Swiveling can be done with the passenger door closed, but easier if door open. It does require some moving the seat up and back on the tracks as you...

How did you attach the blackout curtains? We have Chevy Express and have installed curtains on a loose rope. Yours looks much better and more secure. Thanks!

    Screen Door

Thanks to all and the specific recommendation from VanFan. We've got one ordered. Please share how you customized it. I sew and would probably go with a sewn option. Thanks.

    Screen Door

We are looking to find a screen door set up for the side barn doors on our Chevy Express van. Specifically for use in Maine to avoid black fly season. We see several made for French doors on Amazon that have magnets down the middle and velcro attachment on sides and top of screen door. Does...

    Swivel seat in Chevy Express

We went ahead and installed this swivel base in our Chevy Express van. https://www.sprinterswivel.com/Heavy-Duty-Seat-Swivel-for-Chevy-Express-1997-2021 Installation was very easy. Just unbolt the seat from base and install the swivel to seat and then to base. Attach with 8 bolts that were...

    Fire Extinguisher and CO detector

Our van is a converted Chevy Express van. We don't cook in the van although we will use a hot pot in the van if we have access to shore power and occasionally a small ceramic heater under the same conditions. We are looking for any advice/recommendations for a fire extinguisher to carry in...
