    Telescopes

I've been using Sky Guide on iPhone for years. I liked it so much I bought it and all the modules. Then they went and turned it into a subscription service which, while I understand the reasoning in order to add new features, etc, just tends to feel like a money-grab to me.

time to pack up, but what to start with...

You can cook biscuits on a stick over an open fire... I've tried it and it's pretty tasty and fun. I've done it with the refrigerated biscuit and cinnamon roll dough in a tube. Takes a couple tries to figure out what you are doing, but it's not super complicated and pretty tasty. I'll say now...

    Anyone travel with a guitar?

    In a hardcase! Wouldn't try it in a gig-bag.

Cash only at some National Parks

Actually USPS is a service business but it's not a service. If it can't break even then it shouldn't continue. It has to be possible to operate such a service and break even, otherwise UPS and FedEx wouldn't be able to stay in business. By saying that a business or service is 'not supposed to...

SCREWED BY WALMART! I HATE WALMART!

This happened to me with a 12v fridge/freezer I bought on eBay. They kept trying to screw around with me to delay me past the amount of time where I could file a complaint and get the payment canceled. They even shipped something (from China to a completely different part of the USA) to drag out...

Cash only at some National Parks

For attended locations there is less risk in accepting cash, however for unattended places cash is a HUGE problem. It's basically like putting up a sign saying "Here is an easy, unobserved store of money for any jackass with a sledgehammer to do $8,000 worth of damage to steal $150 in cash". If...

    The SOY-if-a-cation of prepared foods

What part of the SOY is the allergy to? For example refined peanut oil won't necessarily trigger an allergic reaction... https://health.osu.edu/wellness/exercise-and-nutrition/is-peanut-oil-safe-for-peanut-allergies Can you isolate the specific ingredient? :( Soy seems to be getting fairly...

Water Powered Generator, Converting H20 into Hydrogen as fuel & O2 as Clean Exhaust!

LOL. Actually fusion has, for the first time ever, produced more energy than required to keep it going. https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/livermore-lab-net-positive-fusion-reaction/3289740/...

Water Powered Generator, Converting H20 into Hydrogen as fuel & O2 as Clean Exhaust!

Hydrogen is ridiculously easy to produce via chemical reactions or electrolysis. There are trade offs though as changing the forms of materials requires energy and with the exception of certain fields of physics (many concepts still completely theoretical with zero real world evidence outside of...

    Inexpensive meals and eating

You CAN cook meat in them... Just not big hunks of meat like a pot roast unless you are willing to keep resetting the rice cooker. It's great for carrots and potatoes too, but you need to cut them into smaller pieces rather than large chunks (although I just may not have a very great rice cooker...

    Social security

Heh. I thought that you had to switch jobs to get a pay raise... :)

    Inexpensive meals and eating

A rice cooker is just a lower-pressure insta-pot. To get the same results cooking meat (as a pressure cooker) would take more time due to the lower pressure. :) But yes, rice cookers can be used for lots of things other than rice. I've made simple loaf-cakes in them using pancake mix.

    Buying Land

And getting permission from neighboring property owners to establish a permanent right of way on their land can be a major major hassle, especially if there is no existing trail or access to the "landlocked" property in question.
