Single parent of two teenage boys preparing to dwell in a van. I’ve become aware of society choking the family unit with heaps of consumption. What truly makes someone happy is God’s love. All else will fit into place. My boys have never been camping; always has their faces stuck in electronics. Trying to teach them basic needs is going to be a culture shock. I grew up poor, but what I lacked in monetary needs, I was rich in family. I’ve allowed ambition to skew my judgement and I must rectify it by unplugging and going off grid.
