    Questions about Ford Transit van

The "Ox cart" experience is normal for a heavy duty, maybe one-ton van when unloaded. It does get better with some weight in it, but it might be worth trying to find a 3/4 ton version and try that.

PM city and other small vans discontinued

Maybe the thinking is that the bulk of the small van market is city users, and that market will become primarily EVs.

    Van Dimensions Sticky

These dimensions for the Ford E-vans seem to be disappearing from many online sites- this is one of the few good ones I've found- Thank you.

Reporting In On My 2021 Toyota Sienna

Just wondering if you've asked a Toyota dealer service manager if they would be willing to remove the rear seats for you?

Anyone recommend a good value stealth van?

Crofter, when you say the Promaster is "easier to drive", do you mean just that the driving position is better, or is it actually more car-like?

how to choose the right AGM battery?

Hi Cat - if you haven't already, try searching for "RV battery reviews". Always keep in mind that you're looking for deep cycle batteries. If you do find some good data, it might be nice to post that here as well..... Good luck.

New guy wants to talk about the bed now.

Some mem foam matts have a kind of "gel" fill- you don't want to cut those. Any of the solid types should cut easily with an electric knife or just a plain, long, serrated knife. Many seem to use a few inches of high-density foam, with a few inches of mem foam glued on top of that.

    Tow capacity of Ford E350

On my 2013 E350 passenger, it does not have a factory tow pkg, and is only rated to tow 5000 lb. A factory tow pkg, it would add a different rear end, & be rated at 6700. I'm guessing you can get an F350 rated to tow much more.

12 Volt and Tiny ACs for Nomads

Many "window" air conditioners are also available as "thru-the-wall" units. This option usually changes the mounting flange area, and is designed to be installed in a metal sleeve, or case. I have not personally done this, but it might make mounting these ACs easier or more robust.

emf radiation ( cell phones, wifi ) proofing a van

Jake, this would not help while driving, but when parked you could use metal sheets or tightly woven screens on your cargo-area windows. Many cargo vans have a metal partition directly behind the front seats for security, but this is a fairly solid wall. You could add some type of spike to...

    Nissan van production ending?

According to a story on Jalopnik, Nissan has decided to exit the van business in the US. This involves both the larger NV series, as well as the 200.   If true, this could be the time to grab one while you can...

    Insulation question

I guess as an experiment, you could try storing some meat in an uninsulated steel box for a day, & see how that works out...

    Does camping harm the planet?

"Irrepairable" ? I don't see it. People can cause long term damage, particularly to desert areas, if intentionally being idiots. But just camping? Absolutely ridiculous.
