Vehicle For Sale AMBO FOR SALE

Am I looking at that correctly? Is that a single rear wheel setup? Interesting. Never seen that on a box ambulance

1st Build: Mini van with IT workspace & Bed

Also, I’m in agreement with no refrigeration to start. Instant oatmeal w/ dried cranberries is a favorite camping breakfast if mine. Fresh fruit doesn’t need to be refrigerated; just buy small quantities every couple days. With your basement available, you could invest in a small freezer and...

1st Build: Mini van with IT workspace & Bed

Do NOT attempt to velcro to the windows. The sun will heat the glass and melt the glue; even if the velcro itself holds. Attach velcro to the plastic interior trim, or try a press fit. Black felt over reflectix is cheap and easy. Staples work for the edges.

Cup holder for CB and for PC monitor, questions

I’d have to see a pic of the cab, but maybe you could mount the cb to a board, than mount that to the side of one of the seats?

Seeking Chevy G10 Owners Build Advise

Little late, but maybe you could have run the boards full length to the rear and just let the ends hang free, maybe some foam stuffed behind to dampen any vibration? Or, you could just run some boards on an angle from the door opening to that last rib. That would waste a bit of space, though...

van body/rust repair in N.E. Ohio

^^^^ That's a good point. Now that spring is here, start looking for car shows and cruise nights. Talk to people driving project cars and find out who does their work. Also, search out any trade schools / community colleges that have a body shop class. They may be willing to have the students...

Can you explain the gutter guards in the front door better? Are these permanently attached?

Mine are plastic. Not heavy at all.

My first attempt at van camping

I would think that app would work with a camera in the van, no? Just mount it up by the windshield, viewing the whole length of the van.

    tin storage bins

I'll second the use of milk crates. I have two in my van that contain all my kitchen gear. They fit neatly into a homemade shelving unit I found at a garage sale. Speaking of which, garage/yard sales are where I found most things in my van. Don't forget goodwill/salvation army/ restore.

How can I make money with my van?

Check with local courier services. Maybe they could use you fir small package delivery

Skyrocketing fuel costs have van lifers concerned. Here are 5 reasons why this may be the BEST thing to happen to your van life dream.

Good point. I only have a five mile work commute. Ace and Menards are only a couple miles away. Aldi's is just less than a mile. The bank, cleaners, my mechanic and a gas station are literally blocks away. So, I can drive a 3/4 ton van as a daily, and still get two weeks on a tank.

Skyrocketing fuel costs have van lifers concerned. Here are 5 reasons why this may be the BEST thing to happen to your van life dream.

I'm definitely expecting to find some deals. People tend to freak when gas goes up. We had a spike about 16 years ago. The salvage yard I work at suddenly starting getting in clean older vehicles with large engines. We gave someone $400 for a low miles, super clean 76 Chevy Beauville van; plaid...

    coping with rising costs

I’ll just point out you own a 3/4 ton truck. If there’s any pallet rebuilders in your area, maybe they’d pay for used pallets. I snag all those free ones and try to make a little gas money. Another place to look for pallets is at retail establishments getting remodeled. Years ago, the white...
