Anyone else still using a Walkman?

Yeah, I've got a walkman I use from time to time. Every now and then I'll pick up a cassette audio book or something from Goodwill, so that's generally when it gets used.

How much solar do I need?

Most of what the solar would be used for in an off grid environment to be able to game for a little bit, run fans that currently total about 40W (though that's going to drop significantly in the near future) and recharge batteries that consist of that Anker PowerCore 10050 or that Hypergear...

How much solar do I need?

Alright, maybe someone can help me here because this stuff is starting to hurt my brain a bit... I've never been much of a math guy. :P I'm full timing in a camper right now, plugged into a house via an extension cord. I'm experimenting about with the minimum I'd actually need... Right now...

A tiny unrelated supplement to Bob's "May 20th Super Cheap Internet Update"

This hasn't got anything to do with the video itself, I'm actually still in the process of checking out the video. lol I noticed in the sidebar that the guy doing the talking for the internet ideas has his own Youtube channel, so I pulled it up in a different tab... and noticed that he's got...

Need some help with a leaky water pump.

I've had the water running with the mattress flipped up to eye it, it's yet to show any water since. Not saying that this fixed the problem, but it is looking promising since it's been about an hour. With the way it was before, it would've started leaking long ago. hehe

Need some help with a leaky water pump.

Went and got a water pressure regulator from WallyWorld and got it hooked up (hooked it in at the house where the water comes from)... I've got my bed flipped up to eye the water pump... we'll see in a little bit. No leaks so far. That seemed like the easiest, cheapest and most obvious thing to...

Need some help with a leaky water pump.

I've got a 1977 Yellowstone 24" I got a few days ago... and despite it's age it's in pretty good shape. Got a couple of leaks in the roof to deal with. But you kind of expect that for 1500 bucks and 41 years old. :) But... the water pump. When I'm hooked up to city water, the thing leaks...

    Another new guy. hehe

Gettin' there... still not done, but I'm at the point where I can start bringing things out.

A super basic Blackweb 10,000mAh battery pack test.

I got one of these things at the WallyWorlds for 20 bucks a while back because, well, sometimes with these store brands you can get a pretty good product. But when I charged up a phone with it, I thought it used up a LOT more battery according to the percentage displayed on the battery (which is...

I've got a small solar kit, how about the batteries?

Well, judging from my initial post, the only thing I really need it to keep charged is other batteries. My laptop doesn't have to be plugged in (though I am a gamer, and gaming sucks that battery dry. hehe), that Light Bar doesn't require to be plugged in... and those are really the only two...

    Another new guy. hehe

Well, let's see... The outside hasn't changed much since we've been concentrated on the inside. (Like I said, this thing cost 500 bucks, so it's a little rough on the outside. But I've been a LOT worse for double or triple the price on Craiglist) The first picture I took of the inside, and a...

    Another new guy. hehe

I should point this out from the start, I don't plan on just driving out to where-ever and nomading it out. I'm divorced with a 16 year old, so that would complicate things. :) But I do plan on just moving onto a campground nearby full time here in Southern Illinois. Sure, the place I'm wanting...

I've got a small solar kit, how about the batteries?

I got the small 100W solar kit from Harbor Freight (one of those stores literally JUST opened up near me, and it's the only time I've ever seen something other than the little solar charging stick lights and whatnot on the shelves) with the 10 amp charge controller... and I'm going to get the...
