    When it's time to stop.

I haven't even "started" and I have been thinking about this. Mostly because I won't have any family to fall back on when I am 80 (or now probably TBH). I'm 58, got separated right before covid late 2019 and finally divorced 6 months ago. I had a string of events that put me in a precarious...

    Insulating a Cargo Trailer

Thanks for the reply! It will be used mostly in the spring to fall so warm temps. I plan on starting out with A/C possibly an RV unit. No heat for now. I don't plan on gluing it to the inside but there will only be a very small air gap if any between the trailer and insulation. Right now I'm...

    Insulating a Cargo Trailer

Hello All!! It's been a while since I've been here. Got hit hard by the covid shutdown killing my business, losing jobs due to layoff etc. and divorce (lost house). Now finally getting back on track. I had been planning on "hitting the road" as a back up plan right before covid (which is now...

Anyone actually LIVE at a campground?

We had a waterfront seasonal site at a campground / RV Park (it's both) for 10 years about 30 minutes from us as our weekend retreat. Some of our neighbors there kept 2 travel trailers, one here in PA and one in FL. They would go to FL for the winter when the campground closed up here. Some of...

    Any problem receiving online income?

I'm in the middle of a divorce and displaced from my home. I have a UPS Store mailbox. I just changed to that address on my account (at a very large credit union - PSECU) with no issues and my Payal account is also hooked up to that. I'm self employed and use PayPal invoices for billing. Half...

    Essential Attire

I haven't read the entire thread yet so pardon if I repeat. Icebreakers Merino wool is the best I have ever owned and I have been a skier for 40+ years. Merino wool is worth the cost. It's very warm and doesn't hold funky smells. It's not itchy. It doesn't wear easily and lasts a very long...

Tell me about the Chevy Uplander vs. Toyota 4Runner

I'm driving my 2nd Tacoma now, this one for 5 years and they have been the best vehicles I have ever owned. The 4 Runner is basically the same as a Tacoma just in SUV form. They hold their value better than any truck on the market and one of the best overall. That's for a reason. They will...

    Another dumb towing question.....

If you decide to go with a Tacoma look for one with the factory tow package. It has an upgraded suspension, transmission cooler, engine oil cooler, 130 amp alternator and heavy duty battery. I have been driving one for about 4 years now and love it. I plan to tow with mine but not quite as big a...

    Expediting

It doesn't matter where you are located to get a job like that. I search nationwide as they will hire you from anywhere since you are a nomadic employee anyway. This site that shows Craigslist results from everywhere shows one based in Kansas City but is hiring regional/national...

A question more uncomfortable than "Where do you go to the bathroom?"

I'm not "planning" my death. I figure it will happen at some random time that I have no control over so I just LIVE.

Can you do this on $1,000/mo.?

Can I caravan with you? Sound like fun. LOL How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?  How did you just jump into partying with spring breakers and such?

The Less You Know, the More You Will Pay

Well if you need something fixed you can just provide your skill to someone else, get paid and then pay for your repair. Working, getting paid and paying for services isn't much different than bartering. There are just 3 parties involved and you are trading money instead. I'm pretty sure that...

What do you keep in your rooftop storage?

I use mine for skis, kayaking gear, camping stuff, etc. It stays on about 60% of the time. I love t and it gets a lot of use. I think I paid around $200 on Amazon about 8 years ago.

    Leaking seam and silicon caulk

I used Eternabond tape on every roof seem, vent, etc. and front and back end caps. A 50 foot roll is about $52 on Amazon.

Can you do this on $1,000/mo.?

I'm in my fifties but have been getting them for over 20 years, about every 3-4  years or so.
