Yeah. It was hard to walk away since it was so close to what I really want. So, I am still looking. :(

Thanks for the good wishes, but the van was a bust. The bent bumper was indicative of frame damage. It would cost more to repair than I want to spend.

Soldering vs crimping? And joining 3 wires

They actually work very well. We used them in the emergency vehicle manufacturing industry. Their only downside is that they are not weather proof.

The owner has already told me that I can road test it when I get there Monday, if it doesn't run well it will influence my decision. The Left Front tire is flat. I will use my compressor to inflate it for the road test. One bad tire will not deter me. I will check very closely for damage, thanks.

I think I finally found my new home. http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/4707940776.html She is a little rough, but lots of potential for upgrades. Long and high top; best of both worlds. A former ambulance with upgraded steering, suspension, and alternator. Only downside, imo, it isn't a diesel...

A good blog post about working on the road

Hackers. Cypriot style "hair cuts", and recent court rulings that say the money in the bank isn't actually yours; it belongs to the institution holding said money. Add in the fact that there is nowhere near enough money to insured all of the insured FDIC accounts, and possible bank holidays as...

    Credit Freeze

And people wonder why I don't do credit/debit/banks. There seems to be hacks like this REPORTED every week. How many go unreported I wonder?
