Well, someone make and cutout gingerbread cookies and I will bake them. I am lazy and don't want or need to make them bad enough to go through all the manual labor! I grew up with power tools (even in the kitchen). That's one of the reasons I don't bake bread, to much hand kneading.

I am not completely sure but when there are burn bans out west, you couldn't use a wood stove. A loose ember could set the forest on fire.
I vote for A. Either one will require ventilation. A CO detector and a propane detector would be great to have.
Nope. I have used household switches for DC applications before. In fact, a lot of DC switches are rated for AC use.
Edit to add: Draw the circuit on paper before hooking it up.
